1.Introduction
1.1FunctionalDescription.InSiteisaversatile,highlyextensiblemobilenetworkbasedmonitoringdevice.InSiteleveragestheShortMessageService(SMS),morecommonlyknownastextmessaging,todeliverinformativenotificationalarmsthatarebroadcastastextmessagestoasmanyasfourreceivingmobilephonespernotification.Eachofthemonitoredvariables(voltage,temperature,hardwiredswitchcontactoravastarrayofwirelesssensors)canbesettoindependantlynotifyuptofouruniquerecipientswheneverachangeoftheirconfiguredstateoccurs.Thecontentwithinthesemessagesisdiscriptiveandcanbeeditedduringsetupconfigurationtoillustratemorespecificmeaning.InSiteincorporatesawiderangeofusefulfunctionsthatarealleasilyconfiguredthroughitsintergralkeyboardandLCDdisplay.Thisapproacheliminatesawkwardprogrammingcommandsandproblemsthatariseinotherproductsthatrequireacellphonetextmessageexchangeforsettingupindividualparameters.Youdon’tneedareferenceguidetoperformsetuporsystemchanges,itisalleasilyaccessiblethroughafriendlyuserinterface.InSitealsofeaturescomprehensivestatusdisplayscreensforeachfunctionenablingswiftsetuportroubleshooting.Theproductisdesignedtobeeasilyprogrammedbyunskilledusers,thatwouldotherwiserequireskilledtechinicianstoinstall.Fullyoptionedeachunitprovidesthefollowingfunctions:
• Poweroutageandrecoveryalarm.• AmbienttemperaturesensingwithHIGH,LOWandIN‐RANGEalarming
capability.• Uptofourphonenumbersdialedforeachdeviceswitchstate.Allnumbers

3.1DoorAlarmInSiteofferstheabilitytoprovideadoorentryalarmbyassigningswitch#8toadoorcontactsensor(nootherswitchhasthisfunctionality).Thecontactsensorcanusearegularmagneticreedcontactswitchoryoucanusethebuilt‐inmagneticreedswitchfoundasastandardfeatureonInSiteWiPANremoteswitchsenders.(Opendoor:opencontact.Closedoor:closecontact).WhenDoorAlarmhasbeenactivated,InSiteprovidesfordoorentryusingeithertheMasterPassword,orauniqueDoorPassword.InSitewillgivea2minutebeepwarningoncesw#8isopened,thatgivesyoutimetoenteracorrectpassword.Ifcorrectlyentered,thebeepingstopsandtheAlarmmessageissuppressed.Ifyoudonotenterthecorrectpasswordwithinthe2minutes,thepre‐programmedSMSmessageswillbesent.
3.1.1ENTRYIfyouenterusingtheDoorPassword(thismustbemadedifferenttotheMasterpassword,oritassumesyouenteredtheMasterPassword),itsuppressestheSMSmessageandstopsthebeepingbutonlyallowsasingledoorpassandkeepstheDooralarmactive.ItdoesnotallowyoutoturnOFFtheDoorAlarmwiththisdoorPassword.Oncethedoorisshutbehindyou,itwillre‐ARMautomatically.EachpersonenteringmustthereforeentertheDoorpassword.Ifthedoorisheldopen,itwillstaydisarmed,untilclosed.Openingthedoorwillthensetitoffagain.IfyouenterusingtheMasterPassword,itsilencesthebeeping,suppressestheAlarmSMSmomentarily,sameastheDoorPassword,however,italsoallowsyoutoturnOFFthedoorAlarmtotally,aswellasaccesstotheSet‐upmenu,whereyoucanalsosilenceallalarmswiththeMASTERSMSmenuitem.AftercorrectlyenteringtheMASTERPASSWORD,youwillseetheDOORALARMmenuitemtopmostonthelist.Ifyoupress<ENTER>thiswillgiveyouthefollowingMenuItems:DOORALARM?Y/NDOORDELAYPSWDInordertocompletelydisarmthedooralarmforUNLIMITEDaccess,youmustentertheMasterPassword,andthenentertheDOORALARMmenuandselect"N"fortheDOORALARM?Y/Nmenuitem.

Thisfunctionallowsastoreownerforexample,togivehisdailystaffindividualaccessthroughanentrydoorusingthedoorpassword,butdoesnotallowthemtomakechangestotheSet‐upmenuorpermanentlydisabletheentryalarm,withoutenteringtheMasterPassword.Iftheownerenters,hecandisablethedooralarmcompletelyusingtheMASTERpassword.Ifhedecideshedoesn'tneedANYreportingatallfromotherdevicesbeingmonitored(becauseheisthere),hecanuseMASTERSMSanddisableallmonitoring.Whenheleaves,heenablesMASTERSMS,andthenenablesDoorAlarmandleaves.NOTE:aftersettingtheDoorAlarmforthefirsttime,returntothehomescreenandwait3minutestotest.Itgivesyou3minutestoleavethepremisesbeforearming.
3.1.2EXITIfyouhavedisarmedtheDoorAlarmusingthesetupmenu,itneedstobere‐armedforexit.ToArmthesystem,enterthesetupmenuandselectDOORALARM,thenpress<ENTER>,thenfortheDOORALARM?Y/Nmenuitem,select"Y"and<ENTER>Thisautomaticallysetstheswitch#8settingstoON(Y)fortheOPENstateandleavestheCLOSEDstateOFF(N).NB:MagneticdoorswitchesareusuallyOPENcontactwhenthedoorisOPENandCLOSEDcontactwhenclosed.OnceArmed,youneedtopress<ESC>backtotheHomeStatusScreen.Youthenhave3minutes(fromreturningtotheHomestatusscreen)toleavebeforetheunitarmsitself.Youcangetyourselfanextra3minutesdelaytoexit,ifyouleavewhileintheset‐upscreen.Itwillafter3minutesgototheHomescreen,armallotherfunctions,andtwominutesafterthat,itwillARMthedoorentry.
