Preparing yourself early will give you more time to prepare all the required documents and to make necessary arrangement for your study at UPH.

Complete application form for exchange student.

Submit your academic records and English Proficiency test scores

Student will have to submit their latest transcript and copy of passport with minimum one

year validity. Student whose native language is not English, will have to submit an English

test scores, such as TOEFL, IELTS, or others.

student in UPH and all cost are covered by the applicant (this letter will be issued

by UPH Admission Office)

To apply for your KITAS you must submit the required documents (both soft copy and hard

copy):

*Document agent service fee is IDR 5,000,000 (approximately equal to USD 500, depends on actual currency exchange rate), this fee does not include the proof of health.

Please take note that Student Visa (KITAS) application process may take up to2 months (8 weeks).

Acceptance and Confirmation of Enrollment

Student Visa (KITAS) application process:

It is very important that student obtained a KITAS prior to entering Indonesia.

KITAS application will be process here in Indonesia. One month after the application has been submitted student will then receive a telex (approval of visa).

After arrival in Indonesia:

j. Student will have to inform us on the nearest Indonesian Embassy to their location, as the

telex will be address to one particular Indonesian Embassy.

k. After issuance of the telex, UPH Office of International Affairs will send the copy of telex by

e-mail for student to submit at the respective Indonesian Embassy.

l. Student will require to complete a form at the embassy (a fee will be charge for the process;

fee is varied at each Indonesian Embassy). A sticker or a stamp will be given as proof of entry

to Indonesia (the process may varied from 1 to 3 working days).

m. Student will have to report to the immigration within 24 hours of their arrival, this can be

done by submitting the passport and entry card to the document agent through UPH Office

of International Affairs.

n. Student will have to go to Immigration for photo taking and finger prints scan prior to

obtaining their KITAS.

o. All these process will be assist by document agent.

Students will then receive the KITAS and SKLD (Police Registration Card as the local ID).

Accommodations

Please ensure you have make an arrangement for your lodging before your arrival into Jakarta, if you are unable to decide, we will assist you to stay temporarily for a few days in UPH hotel (located on campus), depends on the availability and charges are apply to student’s own account.

Mission Youth for Christ (MYC) student dormitory is an on-campus accommodation, available

for local and international students. An MYC dormitory application form will have to be

completed, please request for the form through e-mail.

The dormitory will cost IDR 2,200,000* (approximately equal to ± USD 200) per month, per

student based on a twin sharing room.

*Price is subject to change without prior notice.

For off campus accommodation, there are

apartment and rental rooms available around

the campus area. For further information, please

contact UPH office of International affairs.

Please ensure that you have made a proper arrangement for your flight, students will have to arrive one week before the orientation program or before the first class start.

- For Semester 1 starting in August 2013, student is expected to arrive latest by August 20, 2013.- For Semester 2 starting in January 2014, student is expected to arrive latest by January 2, 2014.- For Semester 3 starting in April 2014, student is expected to arrive latest by April 24, 2014.

How to get to UPH from the Soekarno Hatta International AirportAirport pick up is available only on weekdays and provided the arrival is within office hours (7

am – 4 pm). Therefore, we strongly suggest student to arrive on weekdays and within office

hours.

Orientation

UPH FestivalAn annual event held at the beginning of Semester 1, to welcome all new students at UPH.

This event normally last for 3 – 4 days as part of UPH orientation program. During the festival

there will be an orientation session, Gala Concert, seminar and activities to introduce to nwe

students, UPH people, culture, and environment.

Orientation by Office of International AffairsInternational Affairs Office provides orientation sessions for international students in

order to help you get better acquainted with UPH’s on-campus facilities and Lippo Village

neighborhood.

We strongly advise students to arrive at least 3 days before the university orientation day or

before the first class start. As all students are required to go through some administrative

process, that include student registration and class registration.

International Community for Students (ICS) Welcome DayICS stands for International Community for Students, is a club where the internationals, both

exchange and full-time students, may find a place where they belong from the very beginning

of their stay. The members of ICS will gather regularly for activities such as culinary experience

and recreation to attraction sites around town and cities, participate in the annual international

festival, etc.

The ICS Welcome Day is normally held at the first week of a new semester, aimed to get the

international and local students to get to know each other, so that they can adapt better by

making new friends, and getting familiar with the university and surrounding area.

Should student arrive after office hours, taxis are available at the airport. We recommend Blue

Bird or Silver Bird Taxi.

Student can take part in a number of on-campus activities without charges.

Sports facilities

UPH has extensive sports facilities at the Lippo Village Campus, the facilities are available for all

students, and these facilities are:

lounge; 3 pool tables are also available for students use.

Food Junction and cafesFood Junction is located in ground floor building C, with more than 16 outlets for food selection.

Wide ranges of selection from local delicacies to Asian and Western food are available.

located in Building A, inside Books & Beyond bookstore:

It is important for student to understand that the student visa (KITAS) granted is a single

entry visa, therefore should you plan to travel out of Indonesia during your study period you

Airport TaxAirport tax is applicable to all International flight departure, except Garuda Indonesia flight;

an amount of Rp. 150,000. - to be paid at the check-in counter.

*For student who will study in semester 2, it is advisable to arrive before Christmas and New Year holiday (16-20 December 2013) as air fare will be higher during that period.

MERP (Multiple Exit and Re-entry Permit)*Multiple exit and re-entry permit valid for 180 days, recommended for those

who have planned their travel. MERP will cost more than SERP.

Exit Permit Only (EPO)*After the completion of study, students must apply for EPO before they leave Indonesia

permanently. All documents given when student obtained KITAS on their arrival must be

returned to the Immigration.

The immigration office will issue EPO stamp and student may legally leave the country.

Applicant is required to bring their passport, KITAS, Immigration entry card (white card).
