Gayatri Ins�tute of Paramedical Sciences (GIPS) ,Sambalpur,Odisha is a visionary thought of our beloved Director Dr Ashok Kumar Satpathy and set up in the year 2014 like other ins�tutes of Gayatri Group of Ins�tu�ons (G G I ). The aim of the Ins�tu�on is to improve the “Educa�on” in the field of Medical Sciences and impart training to medical personnel in the state which involves mentoring of paramedical personnel and other related health programme. The basic objec�ves behind its establishment is close monitoring of the paramedical students in different Health sectors for providing service to the mankind.

COURSE CURRICULUM

GENERAL INFORMATION

1. The Dura�on of Diploma Course of Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) is two years.

2 . T h e m i n i m u m e d u c a � o n a l qualifica�on for selec�on of trainees for the Diploma Course of Medical Laboratory Technology is +2 Science with Biology as one of the subject.

3. Total marks of the DMLT Course is 1000.

4. Minimum pass mark of the trainees if 50% in Theory, 50% in Oral & 50% in Prac�cal.

5. 1st Class mark is 60% in Theory, Prac�cal & Oral in aggregate respec�vely.

6. Less than 40% either in Theory or in Prac�cal or in Oral in any paper will be treated as unsuccessful

NB. Second semester examination will be conducted ten months after first semester exmination. Total Marks- 400.The Final Exmination will be conducted ten months after second semester. Total marks for which will be 400.

The Collabora�on of Internship Training is based on the following terms and condi�ons :

· The Collaborated Organisa�on will act as mentor to the intern.

· The designed Prac�cal curriculum will be followed by the intern during their training.

· The dura�on of training program will be for 10 months.

· Every intern will maintain a daily notebook of each & every work done &the same will be

evaluated by the concern mentor/ ins�tu�on.

· The same notebook will be submi�ed to the college for further evalua�on & presenta�on.

· The group presenta�on will be conducted in college one day in a week where the individual

intern or his/her group will present the en�re work executed during the week.

1. Candidate admi�ed into DMLT Courses must be abided by the Rules & Regula�ons imposed from �me to �me.

2. Ragging is strictly prohibited. Any student found to be involved in ragging or any other unfair means, he / she will be liable to legal prosecu�on and such students will strictly be rus�cated from the college without furthr no�ce.

3. Fees one paid at the �me of admission can not be refund back under any circumstances. Students desiring to discon�nue the course will have to pay total course fee mentoined by him /her in the undertaking form execucuted at the �me of admission.

4. The total course fee payble is on the basis of installment and must be paid in proper �me as men�oned in the undertaking , falling which late fine as fixed from �me to �me will be changed.

5. As per the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of Indiain their judgement “Unikrishnan Vs. State of AP”, if the course is discon�nued by student for any reason, then he/she will pay the total amount of course fee as men�oned in undertaking during the �me of admission.

6. Discipline inside the college campus should strictly be observed. The students must keep all the ar�cles of the college Laboratories, Class Room, College Buses in proper condi�on.

7. Students staying in recognised hostel must obey the instruc�on of the concern Hostel Superintendent/Procter/ Group Teacher and must maintain a homely atmosphere.

8. No inter college transfer shall be allowed as per Govt. Rules.

9. Students must aware the college uniform in college hours.
