AMBER LIVERMORE UPDATE:

As I write this up-

date, I am rejoicing over

being 100% Faith

Promise funded for

New Zealand! I have

sensed so much support

from Indiana South—I

can’t say thank you

enough! I am so glad to

be from a district that

gets passionate about

God’s work in the

world! Several churches

have joined the Faith Promise team even over the past few months!

Also, I officially received my job description from the Wesleyan Meth-

odist Church of New Zealand a few weeks ago. My title is “National

Youth Consultant,” and I will be primarily focused on equipping na-

tional leaders and churches for effective youth ministries in their com-

munities. I am currently in the visa application process, waiting for

some paper work to come from New Zealand so I can apply for my

visa. Please keep praying for God’s perfect timing for my arrival in

New Zealand. Thank you again for embarking on this journey with me!

In His Service,

Amber Livermore

Pictured above are Mr. Oris Reece, Pastor Doug Preston, Mr. Kevin Yantiss,Pastor Aaron Marshall, Mr. Mark Jones, Mr. Von Medlo, and Pastor Eddie

Hayes. These seven men did an outstanding job of helping to build the church inHaiti. Led by Pastor Aaron Marshall, they all sacrificed of their time, talent, and

treasures to help see the great commission carried out in Haiti.Thank you guys for a job well done.

As you can see from the picture, the new church at Forest Hills is comingalong nicely. The contractors plan to finish it this spring. This will be abeautiful new sanctuary for Pastor Mike Stoelting, his staff, and the

congregation to have for worship and ministry.

The Lord has really helped Pastor Nathan Wattersand the congregation at Grace Pointe in New

Albany in renovating their church. As you can tellfrom the pictures, the building is much improved.

They have had several new people attending latelyfrom the community.

We welcome Rev. & Mrs. GaryWilson at English Wesleyan.Pictured is their installation

service. Not only is Rev. Wilsona minister, but also anaccomplished pianist.

DANIEL FASTThis note is about prayer and fasting. Over

the holiday, I felt like God was impressing

upon me to intentionally lead the district in

seeking Him more. Therefore, with that in

mind, I am pleased to announce that the DBA

unanimously endorsed what is called a “Daniel

Fast.” This is based out of Daniel 10:2&3, “In

those days I, Daniel, was mourning three full

weeks. I ate no pleasant food, no meat or wine

came into my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at

all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.”

The days we have chosen to observe this

fast is February 1-21. It would be great if you

could join us for those days, but if not, you can

choose your own 21 days sometime the first

part of 2012 to do the Daniel Fast.

Fasting is not a time to get legalistic, judg-

mental or condescending. It is a time to humble

ourselves before the Lord and to seek His face

for the needs of our world, nations, denomina-

tion, district, church, family, and our own lives.

—Dr. Mark
