Meet Your Teacher Day Next Tuesday @ 9.30 a.m all students, including 2015 Foundation (Prep) students will

meet their new teacher and spend time with their new classmates.

A lot of work has gone into the formation of these grades, the selection of teachers to suit those grades and listening carefully to parent insights.

The process of changing students, from here on end, is extremely difficult. If your child is concerned about their grade and/or teacher I respectfully ask that you spend time building up their resiliency to cope with the situation before contacting me as a last

Staff leaving at the end of the year are: Richard Kornfeld (moving to Mahogany Rise P.S), Lucy Harding (moving to Caulfield Grammar), Charlotte Sowerby (moving to Robinson’s River School, Northern Territory), and Heather Ackland, our First Aid officer. We thank them for their contribution to Berwick Fields and wish them all the best. Brooke Livings and Rebecca Ratten are taking family leave and we also wish them all the best for an exciting next couple of months. Thanks also to Heidi Gilbert,

Sharon Anamalay, Emily Danby, Kristy Short and Colleen Davies for their terrific work in the classroom supporting our students this year.

Samantha Ward is returning from overseas. Tanya Whiteside, Mandie Boelen, Lara Schendzielorz and Claire Cullinane are returning part time from family leave.

New staff appointed are Beth McPhan, Kalina Brew (Western Australia), Cassie Hubalek, Donna Bartlett (Beaconhills College), Bridget Stein (English As A Second Language) and Sarah Hunt (First Aid). Darren Kirby has been an integration aide at

Berwick Fields for a number of years and will be working at Berwick Fields next year as a qualified teacher. Fantastic!

2C Emily for enthusiasm when you work with other people in small groups. You always get along well with others no matter who you are working with. Well done Emily! Jacob for persistence and resilience when you worked on the fractions challenge. You showed resilience when you got the answer incorrect at first and kept having a ‘red hot go’ until you got it correct. Well done! Grace for enthusiasm when doing your take home reader. You have consistently read every night this term, including weekends. Well done Grace! Lachlan for friendliness when you let other people join into your games and help others when they are hurt! Well done Lachlan! Georgia for confidence and enthusiasm when you share your good ideas with the

grade, especially in English! Great sharing Georgia!

2D Bailie for demonstrating persistence especially with your writing and solving problems with others. It is great to see you approach these areas with more confidence and a calm attitude! Great job Bailie, keep it up! Tallan for demonstrating friendliness and good getting along skills with your classmates in the ‘Dazzling Diamonds. It has been great to see your excitement when you learn with your friends in and out of the classroom! Great job Tal! Kayla for demonstrating enthusiasm when performing with the class and in ‘Chess Club’. It has been fantastic to see you approach both of these things with so much excitement and confidence! Great job Kayla, keep it up! Hayden for demonstrating confidence in your Maths! It has been lovely to see you approach maths groups with so much enthusiasm and excitement whilst giving everything a ‘red hot go. Well done Hayden, keep it up! Sienna – awarded the ‘Great Mate’ certificate for playing fair and showing you care!

Nate – awarded the ‘Cool Calm Kid’ certificate for always keeping your cool at school!

2E Ridah for demonstrating confidence by continuing to contribute to discussions in class and share her work achievements and ideas with her classmates. Amy for demonstrating friendliness by always including others and allowing others to join in with activities both in the classroom and outside at recess and lunch. Kai for demonstrating initiative by always having a Red Hot Go in math focus groups and thinking 'outside the box' with the ways he solves problems and challenges. Nicholas for demonstrating persistence by continuing to have a Red Hot Go at

challenging tasks and working hard in math focus groups.

2F Christian for demonstrating enthusiasm. Congratulations Christian on your efforts

during maths focus groups! I love the positive and enthusiastic attitude and the

contributions you make to class discussions.

Neo for demonstrating confidence and persistence. Neo you have shown confidence

towards all areas of your learning. You have demonstrated enthusiasm to take on new

challenges this term and persisted with your learning goals. Keep up the fantastic

As well as utilising different problem solving strategies and maintaining a positive attitude, even if you got it wrong the first time. Sebastian for demonstrating friendliness towards others both in the classroom and out in the yard. As well as taking on feedback to stay focused on a task and ask for help when it’s required. Broc for demonstrating persistence by giving everything a ‘Red Hot Go’, especially in maths by taking on difficult tasks and challenges. As well as always being positive and bringing

laughter to our class.

NO DOGS ALLOWED IN OUR SCHOOL GROUNDS

(Whether on a leash or not!)

Please understand that some of our students are scared of dogs and even if your

dog is the nicest dog in the world they do not know that.

4E Cooper for demonstrating enthusiasm towards your learning when completing your

magazine. It has been great to see you take responsibility for your learning and complete

Shenalie for demonstrating friendliness to both our class and to me. You are always trying

so hard, smiling and being so friendly . Thank you for the lovely letters that you write.

Josh for demonstrating enthusiasm towards your learning when completing your

geography magazine. You have put so much hard work in to it and should be proud of your
