2008 the opening of our two new incomegenerating projects:

Chocolyn ,the Chocolate Project was startedin August 07 on an exciting note with sadovertones. We lost Carolyn Arulappan, oneof our very rst trainees to cancer on May3, 2007. At her funeral, instead of buyingowers, friends and family donated moneyto Diya Foundation. This enabled us startthe Chocolate project in her memory andhonor. We, at Diya are very grateful to herfamily for their generosity of spirit andthoughtfulness.

The Candle Project: Working to order hasbeen a great experience. It meant team work, meeting deadlines while being supportivethrough times of stress and pressure and mostimportantly understanding our strengths.Social skills improved tremendously, as alsoall round well being the thrill of coming towork and knowing that you are needed.
