Cuatro titanes de la cultura de Canarias se han unido para dar forma a El hombre que bebió con Dylan Thomas, un concierto-libro-cd en el que poesía y música se fusionan de manera extraordinaria. Andrés Molina, ex-componente de Taller Canario, pone música a los versos del poeta grancanario Pedro Flores (Premio Nacional de Poesía José Hierro 2017) y los pianistas Samuel Labrador y Rebeca Píriz se encargan de los arreglos. Un espectáculo musical en formato sencillo y acústico, que ha logrado situar a este libro de poesía entre los más vendidos del país.
Four titans in the culture sphere in the Canary Islands, have come together to give shape to “El hombre que bebió con Dylan Thomas”, a concert-book-cd in which poetry and music blend in extraordinarily. Andrés Molina, former member of the Taller Canario, brings music to the verses of poet from Gran Canaria Pedro Flores (José Hierro 2017 National Poetry Award) and pianists Samuel Labrador and Rebeca Píriz are in charge of the arrange-ments. A simple and acoustic music show that has placed this poetry book on the bestselling bookshelves in the country.

esta aventura a través del tiempo. Una peculiar tripulación, recién llegada de un viaje a través del tiempo, aterriza ante nuestros ojos y nos presenta la gran
oportunidad de hacer viajes en el tiempo; eso sí, por un módico precio. Para ello harán gala de sus mejores reclamos y sus asombrosos números circenses.
Pero hoy no es un día cualquiera en su rutina como vendedores ambulantes. Manipular el tiempo a veces tiene sus consecuencias.
The crowds anxiously await the surprises that the mechanic-temporary device that lies ahead will bring about. Nothing is what it seems in this adventure through
time. An uncanny crew that seems to have just arrived from a different time, land before our eyes and give us the chance to travel in time, of course, at a reasonable
price. They will use their circus numbers to put together this performance. But today it’s not just another day for these street vendors. Manipulating time can have its

Luz Casal publicaba el pasado mes de marzo su nuevo disco: Que corra el aire. En esta ocasión, Luz ha escogido personalmente al productor español Ricky Falkner (Love of Lesbian, Sidonie y Quique González, entre otros). Por primera vez el álbum ha sido grabado y mezclado en nuestro país. Los músicos que participaron en la grabación tocaron íntegramente en directo. Jairo Zavala (Depedro), Diego García, el Twanguero, Xavi Molero, Martín Bruhn, Josep Mª Baldomá, Tino di Geraldo y el propio Ricky añadieron a sus guitarras, al bajo, a la batería, a la percusión y a sus teclados su amor por el rock y eso queda re�ejado en esta maravillosa producción.
Luz Casal published her new album in March :“Que corra el aire” . This time around, Luz has personally chosen Spanish producer Ricky Falkner (Love of Lesbian, Sidonie and Quique González, among others). For the �rst time, the album has been recorded and edited in our country. The musicians who took part in the recording sessions played entirely live. Jairo Zavala (Depedro), Diego García, el Twanguero, Xavi Molero, Martín Bruhn, Josep Mª Baldomá, Tino di Geraldo and Ricky himself, added their passion for rock to the sound of their guitars, bass, drums, percussion and keyboards, which can be clearly seen in the result of this wonderful production.

Además del discurso o�cial del Presidente del Cabildo de Lanzarote, Pedro San ffGinés, el Acto Institucional del Día de Canarias contará con la participación del grupo Bohemia, presentando su espectáculo Canarias–Sudamérica… Un viaje de ida y vuelta. Se trata de un recorrido por algunas de las más bellas y grandes obras del cancionero popular de ambas orillas del Atlántico. Se rememoran los años en los que el canario llevaba su música y sus melodías a aquellas esas tierras lejanas y, a su vuelta, enriquecía el folclore local con músicas que ya forman parte de la banda sonora de nuestro Archipiélago.
In addition to the of�cial speech given by the President of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Pedro San Ginés, the Day of the Canary Islands Institutional Act, the group Bohemia, will introduce their show “Canarias–Sudamérica… Un viaje de ida y vuelta”. A journey around some of the largest and most beautiful pieces, popular songs from both sides of the Atlantic. Recalling the times when Canarians brought their music and melodies to far away lands, and upon returning, they enriched the local folklore with music that is now a part of the soundtrack of our archipelago.

“La mujer que más necesita ser liberada es la que reside en el interior de cada hombre”. Esta frase de William Sloane Cof�n sirve como perfecta síntesis a la bailarina, coreógrafa y directora Isabel Vázquez para resumir su espectáculo La Maldición de los hombres Malboro. Con producción de la compañía de Elena Carrascal y seis bailarines masculinos sobre el escenario, Vázquez utiliza la danza para plantearnos una re�exión sobre la idea, “a veces divertida, a veces sarcástica, siempre emotiva”, de por qué a los hombres les cuesta tanto mostrar sus sentimientos.
“The woman most in need of liberation is the woman in every man”. This William Sloane Cof�n’s quote seems to be the perfect way to describe the ballerina, choreo-grapher and director Isabel Vázquez summing up her performance “La Maldición de los hombres Malboro”. With the production of Elena Carrascal’s company and six male dancers on stage, Vázquez uses dance to make us think about, “sometimes in a funny way, at times sarcastically, but always emotionally”, why men �nd it so hard to show their feelings.

A través de esta acción formativa se busca realizar un acercamiento al universo creativo de la técnica del estampado y del carvado artístico, como variante del grabado y la serigrafía. De manera práctica, mediante la talla de planchas o matrices de vinilo o goma, nos adentra-remos en los procesos de estampación artística partiendo de diferentes dibujos y diseños para poder ser reproducidos en diferentes soportes como papel, tela o madera.
This training workshop aims to bring the exciting creative universe of printing techniques and artistic carving, as alternatives to carving and serigraphy. Doing it practically, using press carving or vinyl or rubber moulds, we will take a deeper look at the printing processes using different drawings and personal designs to be reproduced onto supports such as paper, fabric or wood.

José Otero (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1979) llega a El Almacén con una irreverente propuesta artística en la que, partiendo de diferentes acciones multidisciplinares de su trayectoria, nos plantea cómo huir de los propósitos y de los convencionalismos que a menudo se asocian a la transmi-sión de ideas y mensajes concretos que vemos en los discursos plásticos de muchas exposiciones. Para ello, organiza una muestra que apuesta más por la extraordina-ria capacidad del arte para esconder su propio sentido, desentendiéndose de sus aspectos comunicacionales. No se trata tanto de comunicar, sino de pensar y sentir.

Hacia 1960 Manuel Diaz Rijo imaginó un mar amigo. Si había sido posible vivir hasta entonces sacando la sal del mar, por qué no hacer ahora lo contrario, sacar del mar el agua dulce. Y a eso se dedicó en Lanzarote, donde hacía mucha falta.
Around 1960, Manuel Diaz Rijo imagined a friendly sea. If up until then they had managed to get salt from the sea, why not get drinking water out of the sea too. And that’s what he devoted his life to. In Lanzarote, where it was much needed.

Laerte, a talented violin player, is turned down at the Symphonic Orchestra of São Paulo State and he sees himself having to teach a group of teenagers at a state school in Heliopolis.
