Advent days of Recollec on
St. Francis Retreat in San Juan Bau sta will be offering three Wednesday Days of Recollec on in Advent this year. The regular Friday Day of Recollec on will not be celebrated in December. Wednesday, Dec. 5th – Am I Strong and Brave Enough for the End? By Fr. Paul Botenhagen, OFM Wednesday, Dec. 12th – Pope Francis and Mary. By Fr. Ken Laverone, OFM Wednesday, Dec. 19th – Why Should I Rejoice and Be Glad? By Fr. Paul Botenhagen, OFM Coffee is hot at 9:30, and the first session begins at 10:00am. Toy Drive
On December 4 & December 6 from 4-6 pm & December 8 from 9am-11am there will be a toy drive at Sacred Heart School that the Religious Educa on Department is sponsor-ing , Drop off at the Fire Truck that will be parked in front or in parking lot. Unwrapped toys that will go to families in our community. We are also accep ng dona ons of Pajamas, Socks, Tshirts for adults all sizes to donate to the Senior Ci -zen homes in Hollister. These items can be dropped off with Maria or Nancy any me or brought to Sacred Heart School on December 2 from 6:30-8:30pm.

Monthly Calvary Cemetery Mass will resume
We will resume having a monthly Mass at Calvary cemetery to pray for our beloved death. The next Mass will be held there, 5PM on Wednesday December 5th, and will con nue every first Wednesday of the month at 5PM
Fishes and Loaves
We would like to thank all of our parishioners and friends for your generous support of our ministry. We would also like to thank the Community Founda on of San Benito County for the generous grant of $7,500.00 we re-ceived this year. Because of this grant, we are able to con n-ue our Thanksgiving and Christmas outreach to the labor camps in our county. This year we will be serving 150 plus families at these camps. We must of course, thank our wonderful volunteers who donate so much me and energy to this outreach. Many of them have been doing this for years under the leadership of Paul Armbruster. Paul is again leading the holiday effort to the labor camps. All year we supply nourishing food to the needy of San Be-nito County from 10:00AM to 12:00 Noon, Monday through Friday. Your dona ons of food through the baskets at both St. Benedict Church and Sacred Heart Church go a long way in helping us to help those most in need. We are also grateful for your monetary dona ons. Please remember to leave only non-perishable foods in these baskets. If you have produce, store bought pastry prod-ucts, and other perishable goods please bring them to the Pastoral Center during the regular business hours, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. This way we can be sure your dona ons will be as fresh as possible for those we assist. Monetary dona ons can be brought or mailed to the Pastoral Center,680 College St., Hollister CA 95023, addressed to Fishes and Loaves. Se piden juguetes sin envolver que irán a las familias de nues-tra comunidad. También estamos aceptando donaciones de piyamas, calce nes, camisetas para adultos de todos los tama-ños para donar a las casas de la tercera edad en Hollister. Es-tos ar culos se pueden dejar con María o Nancy en cualquier momento o llevarlos a la Escuela del Sagrado Corazón el 2 de diciembre de 6:30-8: 30pm.
An Invita on from our Filipino-American community of Sa-cred Heart/St. Benedict’s Parish
On behalf of the Filipino community from Sacred Heart/ St. Benedict’s of Hollister, we would like to extend an invita on to all of you to a end a nine evening-mass dedicated to our Blessed Mother Mary. Tradi onally, known as SIMBANG GABI (pronounced as simbung gabii) It will commence on Saturday, December 15 and it will end on Sunday, December 23. Mass will start at 7:00 p.m. every night and it will be held at St. Benedict’s Hall. There will be dinner and a fellowship a er every mass.
