GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS/ANUNCIOS GENERALES CHICKEN PICKIN is coming up on Saturday, June 3. Once again we are requesting donations of gift baskets or gift cards to raffle off. Please be sure they have a gift value of $25 or more. Or we can put together multiple lesser dollar amount gift cards as one raffle item. We would like to have them here at the church as soon as possible so we can sell tickets at the church on May 28, as well as at the Chicken Pickin. Thank you in advance! BUILDING COMMITTEE MEETING UPDATES/ACTUALIZACIONES DE REUNION DEL COMITÉ DE FACILIDADES The Building Committee met on May 22. We discussed hiring contractors to finish the deck. Tim pro-vided the final draft of the Parish Self Study and Needs Assessment. The current plan is to remain at our current Butner location, making repairs, renovations and expanding our current facility. Tim will up-date and finalize the plan, which will then be shared with the whole Parish. Mike has purchased a wire-less video surveillance system and will be setting up the system in the near future. Gutters have now been installed on the building in an attempt to avoid water infiltration into the crawlspace. Padre ob-tained quotes for new hardwood flooring ranging in price from $16,600-19,500. One quote included an option for a blue colored ceramic tile installed down the main isle. The flooring renovations will be dis-cussed again once the water in the crawlspace is fully resolved. The new playground will be approxi-mately 24’ x 24’ and Ed will seek pricing on playground equipment. Mike has an estimate for a new 2 ton air conditioner to supplement the cooling of the Church with a cost of $1250. We recommended installation and sent for approval by the Finance Committee.
