CONCEPTS of INTEGRATION of FAITH and LEARNINGINTEGRATION of FAITH and VALUES in LEARNINGAIM of EDUCATIONThe aim of education is not merely to impact literacy and computational skills so that a person acquires a marketable asset upon graduation. Its objective is to develop character, to give a person the tools to realize his full potential as a human being (Bambi. L. Harper, 1995. The Philippine journal of Education, p. 466)

True education means more than taking a certain course of study. It is broad. It includes the harmonious development of all the physical powers and the mental faculties. It teaches the love and fear of GOD and is a preparation for the faithful discharge of lifes duties (E.G.White,1897. Special Testimonies of Education p. 47)

To fulfill the aim of Education above that we need a learning program to equip the teaching method. So that for at least the past three decades, the integration of Faith and Learning has been a popular topic of discussion in Christian higher Education.

Definition of Integration :Integration is the living union of educations subject matter, administration, and even of its personnel, with the eternal and infinite pattern of Gods truth. This is the heart of Integration (Frank Gaebelein, 1954. The pattern of GODs truth p.9)

Then the definition of IFVL :Integration of Faith, and Values in Learning is a DELIVERATE AND SYSTETMATIC process of approaching the ENTIRE EDUCATIONAL ENTERPRISE from a BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE (Humaberto Rasi,2002).

The aim of IFVL is to ensure that students, under the influence of christian teachers and by the time they leave school, develop faith and will freely internalize biblical values and view of knowledge , life and destiny that is christ centered, service oriented and kingdom directed (Humaberto Rasi,2002).

Depend on that definition and aim we must tod something :1. We must address the integration of thinking and feeling, the cognitive and the affective, the goal is biblically stated as loving GOD with my whole being integratedly and loving my neighbor or my self.(Mathew 22 : 37- 39)2. We must address the integration of Faith and Learning with living, we must have student to internalized a biblical orientation to all work as stewardly service.(1 Corinthians 10 : 31)3. we need an integrated spiritually doing things hardly as unto the LORD mean that work can be worship and that learning with is the student vacation can be a calling from GOD.

How can we did all the things above It all can be done by the wisdom from GOD, that can be seek in our bible.The Holy scriptures are the perfect standard of truth and as such should be given the highest place in education- Education p. 17 Christian teaching is not merely a system of rote learning about Bible content; it is the bringing of the life of the pupil in line with the purpose and ideal of its aim, the man of GOD perfected and thoroughly furnished unto all good works (C.B. Beavey,PhD, 1981. Principles of TTeaching for Christian Teacher p. 141)

THE FOCUS OF IFVL BEHOLD ON TRUTHJesus said at John 14 : 6 Iam the way, the truth , and the life : no man cometh unto the Father, but by me depends on this verse we know that the only source of living truth is Jesus, when we bring Jesus in any aspect of teaching it mean we bring a truth trough our student.We need encourage our self to bring the truth upon our daily teaching. So 1 Corinthian 7 : 37 said nevertheless he that STANDETH STEDFAST in his heart, HAVING NO NECESSITY, but HATH POWER OVER HIS OWN WILL, and HATH SO DECREED IN HIS HEART that will keep his virgin, doeth well So that we could have a fundamental that teacher is just not a job it is a ministry, than it could appear a commitment that comes out from the deep conviction that this Adventist School is the school where God wants to serve Him.

THE TRUTH IN UNIVERSAL and the UNITY of ALL TRUTHSome law or rule in this world was locally, its mean that the rule in some country is differ than the other country. But the truth of God doesnt like that.As God said in John 1 : 1 2 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word is God, The same was in the beginning with God so that the Word of God is a truth like Samuel wrote on 2 Samuel 7 : 28 And now O Lord GOD, thou art that GOD, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant Word of GOD is universal because the same GOD had been created this world in the beginning Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth It is the word of GOD alone that gives to us an authentic account of the creation of our world. This word is to be the chief study in our schools. (Fundamentals of Christian Education, p. 536). The truth of GOD is also the Unity of All truth, whenever theres so many truth comes out from a mativational people or a brilliant thinking of some great people, but all of that is not originally, because the origin and the essential of education. The word of GOD should have a place-the first place-in every system of education. As an educating power, it is of more value than the writings of all the philosopher of all ages. (Fundamentals of Christian Education, p. 542).How we can use this truth as a unity to influence all the student in every country weve been ?If teachers will make Bible precepts their textbook, they will have greater influence over the youth. They will be learners, having a living connection with GOD ( Counsels to parents, teacher and student, p. 430)It is the proofing that bible or GODs truth is a universally and it is a unity of all truth.

THE COMMON OBJECTIVES OF IFVLThe objectives of IFVL are :ScripturalScriptural basis for the integration of learning, faith and practice.

BibleThe bible to identify important themes or concepts that should be taught as part of Christian Education.

Illustration To meet Christian Objectives effectively , the illustrations must be meaningful to the students and must present uplifting experiences

E.G.White writingRelate the integration of learning, faith and practice to the doctrines of the Great Controversy, redemption through Christ, Gods Commandment of Love, the abundant life, and the gospel commission.

Living messagesThis message of assurance need to be presented in many ways, both in a teachers life and in his teaching

Pray and Witnessing A teachers life can communicate the hope to be found through the gift of Jesus Christ and the power of His Spirit. He can witness to student about the personal victories he has gain as a result of praying for and receiving the power of GODS spirit in his life.
