Re-enrollmentReinscripción

It is time to register for next school year! You are able to save your spot for next year now before we openenrollment to new families! Please remember if you are registering between December 18- March 1 you areable to pay half $125. The remaining half $125 will be billed to you via your FACTS account and will be dueMarch 31st. Anyone who registers after March 1st will be responsible for the full $250. Please follow thesesteps in order to complete the registration. If you will not be returning please follow up to step 5 and select "IWill Not Return." If you have any questions please let Mrs. Bucio know.

1st- You must log into your Renweb Account. https://spsa-tx.client.renweb.com/pwr/ If you do not have onethen you will need to create one using the email you provided to the school.

2nd- Once you have created and logged into your account, there will be some options on the left hand side ofyour screen. You will choose the one that says Apply/Enroll.

3rd- Two more options will appear. DO NOT click on Application. That will create a new student and we donot want that. Click on the one that says Enrollment/Re-enrollment.

4th- A window with a click link will appear. Click on it.

5th- That will take you to the registration packet. You will then click on Start Enrollment Application. Youwill go through and complete all the task. and at the very end, submit with registration fee.

My name is Diana Eaker. I was born in Alaskaand grew up in many different places. I ammarried to a fabulous man, Jay, and have onedaughter. Her name is Jillian and she is marriedto Josh. I have a Bachelor of Science Degreefrom Texas A&M University (Go Aggs!!) with aMajor in Community Health and a Minor inBiology. Before becoming a teacher, I held manyjobs. The most rewarding one of all was with theMuscular Dystrophy Association, where I workeddirectly with the patients. When my daughterstarted Kindergarten, I decided to go back toschool and get my Teaching Certificate.

Middle School Science. I then taught at St.Augustine Catholic school for three years andwhen it combined with St. Philip, I had the honorof being chosen to teach at the new SPSAAcademy. I have been here since it opened. Thestudents, principal, staff and parents haveopened their arms to me and have made me feellike this is a second home. I enjoy all thechallenges I meet every day and am thankful toGod for His direction in sending me to thisschool. I enjoy teaching Middle School Science.Remember when I said earlier the mostrewarding job was the Muscular DystrophyAssociation, well I now must add SPSA to thetop of the list. In my spare time I enjoy spendingtime visiting and playing with my two wonderfulgrandchildren, Jackson 6 years old and Jensen3. They keep me young. GO SAINTS!!

Spotlight on ArtEnfoque en Arte

Students at SPSA share a love for Art and creativity! In Art class, students learn drawing techniques, colortheory, problem-solving skills, how to use different art materials, STEAM, and how to communicate to oneanother about their artwork and ideas.

My goal as an Art teacher is to help our students learn the value of creativity and find a passion for creativeexpression. I want them to have fun and find peace in the midst of the stress and pressure this year hasbrought. I am proud of our SPSA artists and look forward to watching them continue to grow throughout theyear.

The Middle School students have an upcoming contest with the TriCore Foundation. Each year, students in6th, 7th, and 8th grade enter artwork in Drawing, Painting, Photography, and Collage categories to competeagainst other Diocesan schools for cash prizes. In the past four years, our SPSA artists have been the topprize winners and have earned close to $4,000 total in prize money. Please speak to your Middle Schoolstudents about entering this year! I believe in them wholeheartedly! (See flyer below for more information)

SPSA is participating in the Catholic Life Raffle along with other Catholic schools in Texas. This isa FASTASTIC fundraiser for our school because we receive 100% of the proceeds that will go directly tocover the gap between the cost to educate a student and our tuition cost! In addition, there are some GREATPRIZE OPTIONS! Every ticket purchaser receives the chance to win the Grand Prize, which is a choicebetween a new Ford F-150, a new Ford Focus, or a $20,000 Prepaid VISA Credit Card. Each participatingschool is also guaranteed a $1,000 Prepaid VISA Credit Card Winner. Each family is responsible for sellingor purchasing 4 tickets at $5 each for a total of $20.

Tickets are due back to the SPSA office by Friday, January 15th. Money is due on Friday, January 15th viayour FACTS Account.

Any family who sells 55 tickets for a total of $275 will receive a voucher of $250 to use towards the 2021-2022 Registration Fee. Contact Mrs. Bucio for extra tickets!
