How to make a Snow Igloo Ingredients: Cake board (can be purchased from a party supply or craft store) A bowl (mine was 6 inches wide and 5 inches deep) Vanilla Frosting (about 2 cups) One to two boxes of sugar cubes Paper towel roll (cut into 2” section and then trimmed to make an arch) Confectioner’s sugar (or white snowflake sprinkles) Spearmint leaves Candy gingerbread Flat marshmallows (or you can just cut large marshmallows) White mentos Fruit roll-ups or taffy Directions: 1. First, put a few tablespoons of frosting in the center of the cake board. Spread it around a little wider than the bowl. Turn the bowl upside down into the icing so that it is secured onto the cake plate. 2. Frost the bowl generously with about a cup of icing. Beginning at the bottom, place the sugar cubes all around, going row by row until you reach the top. 3. Place a tablespoon of icing on the cake board, in front of the igloo, and place a few sugar cubes around the piece of paper towel roll to form the entrance of the igloo. Place a flat marshmallow (cut as needed) inside the entrance to cover the paper towel roll. Frost and cover with sugar cubes. 4. Spread the remaining icing in the area around the igloo. Decorate with candy snowmen, gingerbread people, or other fun decorations. Sprinkle everything with the confectioner’s sugar. And it’s done!
