Lundbom Lake to Quilchena Hotel

Map notes, July 2003

Very nice ride about 3 - 4 hours each way. Gate 1 There are two gates here - take the one a little up the hill from the cattle guard (not right beside it) Gate 2 The gully trail starts a mile or so down from this gate - when you emerge from the gully you will be climbing down a long steep hill until you get under the power lines. Gate 3 When you pass gate 3 you can ride the road or along the fence line Gate 6 This gate has a lock (mounted up inside) - it was on but not locked when we rode through. We explored the area around the gate to see if there was another way around but did NOT find one. If the gate is locked you are out of luck (and you can see the hotel from there) Ranch We rode through the gate just on the other side of the creek (the only water we found for the horses along the way) - turned right to the pasture gate, left down to the driveway for the ranch house pass the barn and through the gate to the drive way. On the way back we asked at the ranch and they gave us permission to ride between the barn and corral, through the corrals and directly to the gate at the creek. Hotel When you get to the cattle guard at the hotel turn right and ride the fence line to the gate ( 100 yards or so)and you are there!
