Heritage is a Newari-style boutique hotel influenced by the rich art and architecture of the ancient city of Bhaktapur. A vision of Mr. Prakas M. Dhaubhadel that materialised after a journey of years, believed in presenting Nepal in its true sense. With his profound familiarity with the history, tradition and hidden treasures of Bhaktapur, Mr. Dhaubhadel’s commitment in preserving and restoring the heritage is visible in every nook and cranny of the boutique property.

Intricate wood carvings, brass and copper crafts, terracotta works and Mithila paintings accentuate the splendour of Hotel Heritage. The hotel was built with century old bricks from Rana palaces, stones from 17th Century and integrates reclaimed timber and antiques dating back from 16th century. The furniture used in the hotel are all hand crafted by local craftsmen mostly using reclaimed wood from traditional Newari houses, Rana royal palaces and their residences. It is without doubt that Hotel Heritage shares an unshakable link with the ancient city’s rich past and reflects aristocratic elegance, classy architecture and Newari finesse.

Each of the Heritage Classic Rooms has been well thought of, ready to weave a tale or share a long-lost story. The spacious rooms are carefully designed with elaborately hand-carved wooden windows, beds and mirrors which give the feel of Nepali lifestyle without compromising on modern comfort and quality. Use of natural products from the local community has been given priority with materials such as ‘lokta’ paper and organic cotton used in the rooms’ decor. Soft lightings and bold colours have been introduced to promote a soothing and restful ambience. The aura of each room emits that of architectural abundance and beauty of Newari civilisation.

Hotel Heritage takes culinary to a different level for the guests to enjoy whilst their stay with different options to choose from. KUTUMBA is a multi-cuisine fine dining restaurant with an a la carte menu which also specialises in authentic Nepali and Newari cuisine prepared using fresh produce from the local farms of Bhaktapur. The spacious garden and the courtyard is also an ideal location for the guests to indulge in an informal dining or to simply lounge in.

THE TRIBAL BAR has a vibrant atmosphere for guests to unwind after a long day with a relaxing drink. The bar offers local and international beverages, along with a wine cellar.

The boutique property, besides its appeasing grandeur, prioritises customer satisfaction and comfort with its state-of-the-art facilities. There are two dedicated spaces suitable for different types of meetings, conferences and events.

Vatsa Mandala Hall with capacity to house 180 people is perfect for medium sized events and confer-ences in a regal décor. Mithila Room on other hand is ideal for smaller meeting and events for up to 30 persons.
