Western rider, Fred Thompsonn is one of Sweden’sbest known riders on the Western scene and whilebased in the USA, he regularly returns to give trainingclinics in Sweden.

Fred is an accomplished trainer at Nedpoint Ranch,Oklahoma and winner of multiple National andInternational titles. He is the 1999 EuropeanChampion in Jr. Reining, 2003 AQHA World Show Jr.Reining Reserve Champion, 4th in the 2004 APHAWorld Show Jr. Reining, Open Futurity Champion atthe September Slide in Lubbock, Texas and OpenFuturity Champion at the Autumn Slide in Colombia,Missouri, to name a few. Fred also finds time to represent his home country ofSweden, having done so at the 2004 FEI Masters inOklahoma City, and most recently at the 2006 WorldEquestrian Games held in Aachen, Germany.

How to fit your RugThe fit of your rug is extremely important in order to ensure the comfort of your horse and

to prevent rubbing and slippage of the rug. As horses of the same height at the wither come

in a variety of shapes and sizes, it is useful to take certain measurements of your horse.Measure the distance X from the centre of the chest across the point of shoulder to the centre of the tail. Take 4" off for a Turnout and 7" offfor a stable. Using this guideline will mean that your horse willprobably require one size larger for his turnout rug thanfor his stable rug. Horseware® rugs are sized inthree inch increments. This measurementrefers to the distance from the centreof the chest to the rear of thequarters where youexpect the rug to finish.
