Dear Parents, The Honeywell Alert and Notification system, which has been in effect since February of 2010 will now have the three types of messages that you can receive. Alert - This system is designed to notify members of the Tenafly educational community in the event of an emergency or in situations that require immediate communication. We recommend having both your phones and emails selected for this option. Notification - This system is designed strictly for school related news and will be used for official school business. Due to the fact that this message type will have numerous messages being sent, we recommend that when you configure your settings; make sure you setup your EMAIL to receive these messages. We do not recommend leaving your phones checked for this option. However if you choose to leave you phone checked, you will receive a phone call for every message that is sent. Special Education – This system is designed strictly for special education information such as upcoming workshops, presentations, college fairs, etc. – THIS IS A NEW MESSAGING TYPE. It will add a third column on your settings page and you will have to check the devices that you would like to receive these messages on. Below are directions for configuring your settings. You can log into the system at https://instantalert.honeywell.com . If you need assistance with your profile, please go to https://instantalert.honeywell.com and click on the Help Request link on the lower right hand side of the page. Configure settings for yourself

1. Click on ‘Alert Setup.’

3. If you would like to add another contact device, select the device type and enter the device

receive alerts while you were sleeping, you could set the weekday start time to 6:00am and the weekday end time to 10:00pm and the weekend start time to 8:00am and the weekend end time to 11:00pm. You have the flexibility and control to set up your phones in many different ways. see FIGURE C

5. For e-mail, text messaging and pagers you may send yourself a test message. Click on ‘Send

Test Message’ to send yourself a message.
