Homemade Chow Mein Noodles Serves 2 Ingredients: 3/4 Cups of All Purpose Flour a pinch of salt 1 egg, beaten 1 Tbsp water Directions: 1. Mix together the flour and salt. In the center, make a well 2. Mix the dry ingredients together. Make a well in the center of the flour and add the egg and water. Slowly stir in the flour until it is all mixed. 3. Form a ball and knead the dough for about 7-8 minutes on a lightly floured surface. Once the dough is kneaded, wrap in plasric and set aside for about 25 minutes. 4. Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil. 5. With a pasta machine, roll out the pasta (to setting #4 on atlas pasta machines) or until 1/8th of an inch thick and hang to dry slightly (you may also use a rolling pin). When the noodle sheets are dry, run the pieces through the pasta machine noodle cutter or slice into 1/8 th inch noodles with a knife. 6. Boil the pasta for about 5 minutes. Drain and rinse noodles before stir-frying. Tools Needed Mixing Bowl Wooden Spoon Measuring Cups And Spoons Large Pot Pasta Machine Rolling Pin Knife or Pizza Cutter (if not using machine)
