11:00 – LA: This month we are completing an author study on Eric Carle. Read about Eric Carle here. Next, complete this worksheet, writing out facts about the author.

11:30 – Math: This is a great math website! Open it, and click on “geoboards”. Practice making 2D shapes on the geoboard (normally we do this with ACTUAL geoboards, but this will have to do for now!)

9:30 – LA: Word families - In your green “word work” folder, read the next word family poem. Using a highlighter or crayon, highlight or circle all of the word family words. Next, if you are able to reproduce this template, write out all of the word family words you can think of for that family. Write 2 sentences using 2 DIFFERENT words. If you want to make things more interactive, create Truffula tree word families for the remainder of the year and watch your Truffula forest grow!

9:30 – LA: Complete this “Hungry Caterpillar” sequencing activity. If you are feeling up to it, you can also get one of your parents to read you the questions to complete this “Hungry Caterpillar” quiz.

10:00 – Morning Snack

10:15 – Play outside for 45 minutes

11:00 – Math: Use this poster as a visual aid to help your child understand this concept: If you I live on the 3rd floor and my friend lives on the 8th, how many floors up are they? Try a couple examples using this worksheet. This is a difficult concept for some, and may require lots of practice!

11:30 – PE: Practice your jump rope stations for the week!

12:00 – Lunch

12:30 – Play outside for half an hour

1:00 – Read by yourself or to someone in your family

1:30 – Religion: Complete this activity as a way of summing up your understanding of the concept of baptism. Glue it in your belonging book when you are finished, or just recreate the worksheet in your belonging book.

11:00 – LA: Mother’s Day is this weekend. Make a special gift for her and see how much you know about your mom by completing this activity without any help! Don’t let her see it until Sunday!
