Making room for Jesus this Advent? Our cluster is offering a gift to all parishioners this year:
an album of Advent and Christmas music by The Vigil
Project and short reflections for the season by Fr. Dave
Pivonka (one CD per family). If you are looking for a
way to go deeper into your experience of Advent and
Christmas this year, be sure to attend our Advent studies
in December. Mondays at St Mary’s and Wednesday’s
at Holy Name. These gatherings will include discus-
sions based on each Sunday’s Gospel reading. Please
contact Fr. Francis or Annie McMahon with questions.
ALL LECTORS are asked to please pick up a
copy of the 2020 Lector Workbook from the
sacristy. Please check your name off the list when
you pick up your book. Thank you for your
service to our parish.
Attention: HN Parishioner--Please contact the parish
office (712) 472-3248 if you are interested in Snow
Removal. (sidewalks- by the parish & office)
2020 OFFERTORY ENVELOPES are in the main entrance at both parishes for everyone to pick up. If you did not re-ceive a box of envelopes and would like one, please contact Jessica in the parish office. ALSO, please check to make sure the envelope number printed on the box label is the same as the number on the envelopes in the box.
Please use your envelopes whenever possible. The purpose of envelopes is to streamline and improve the accuracy of the collection counting and recording process. When you don’t use your envelope it creates extra work for the volunteers who count and tabulate the collection. Your cooperation with this is appreciated.
St. Mary Parishioners:
Do you love to decorate? We are in need of some-one to decorate the church for each season. Nancy Roemen has done a beautiful job for our parish for many years and would like to pass this job on to an-yone interested. Please contact the parish office if you are interested in this position. St. Mary Altar Society Members:
Please contact Deb Burwitz (712)540-3888 if you are willing to help another circle out when they need help with food or workers.
CONFESSIONS OF A MEGA CHURCH PASTOR:

same time he demonstrates the genius of Catholicism and
encourages us to move beyond taking our faith for granted.

main entry at either parish!
CHRISTMAS FLOWERS: Envelopes are available at the main entrance to both parishes if you would like to donate
toward the poinsettias in honor of a loved one. Names received before December 18

Family Faith Formation: Car Conversations
Our A Family of Faith materials have quick, easy suggestions to spark family discussion in the car. Here's a thought for this week:
We can give the gift of our time and talent all year long. What are your special gifts and tal-ents? How do you think you could use them to serve God and your neighbor?
Please consider sending a
Christmas card to Fr. Jeff
