May 6, 2015 Dear Aaron: I am contacting you to request your direct involvement as Hennepin County develops a cohesive and comprehensive HIV/AIDS response strategy for 2016 and beyond. It’s because of your knowledge and perspectives about this critical community health issue that you’re being asked to participate in this important planning process. Our aim: To ensure that all people living with HIV in Hennepin County have access to HIV care, treatment and highly effective prevention interventions. Emerging advances in treatment and prevention make elimination of HIV truly possible if we focus and coordinate all resources and services within the County. Specifically, I’m asking you to take part in our Strategists’ Group when it meets on:
Wednesday, June 3rd, 1:30‐3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, July 8th, 1:30‐3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, September 9th, 1:30‐3:30 p.m. Your participation in these three sessions will help the County:
Develop the County’s first collaborative HIV/AIDS strategy and build stakeholder ownership
Shape Hennepin County’s and various community organizations’ roles in addressing the needs of people living with HIV/AIDS
Identify approaches, integration opportunities and best next steps to effectively implement the strategy.
