The time when construction workers and masons were exclusively men has past for quite a while. In the 21st century, there’s nothing that stands in the way of a woman who wants to stand her ground in any typical male profession. Of course, a woman also needs the right equipment to do the best job possible. However, most brands do not take the female form into consideration while designing their clothes, which tends to lead to uncomfortable clothing that wears off quicker and can even cause injuries. An optimal protection against varying weather conditions is created by combining the right items and fabrics. They do however have to complement each other in the right way, so don’t just randomly throw them together. There is no use in dressing extra warm if you’re going to be soaked in sweat after only two hours of work. The right combination of fabrics will allow you to continiue working without being bothered by the weather or your own body heat and transpiration.

BOTTOM LAYERThe bottom layer of your clothing has to ensure that your body heat and transpiration moisture find their way to the outside as quickly as possible. So be sure to wear a moistregulating fabric on your body to keep your skin dry. A wet bottom layer severely cools off the body, a problem that can be easily avoided by wearing for example polyester or a thin type of wool. This makes sure that your own sweat and body heat are disposed of without getting wet yourself. Wearing the right type of bottom layer prevents you from cooling down too quickly when you do decide to take a break.

TOP LAYERThe main goal of the outer layer is to protect its wearer against all external conditions. Snow, rain or hail, your top layer has to keep it all out while passing on your own body heat and transpiration moisture to the outside. The ideal fabric for an outer layer is not only breathable, but also wind and waterproof.

MIDDLE LAYERThis layer keeps you dry andwarm at the same time bypassing on your transpirationmoisture from the bottom layerto the top layer while keepingout the cold. Fleece, forexample, is an ideal fabric forthis layer because it is a verystrong fabric that passes onmoisture while insulating yourbody against low temperatures.

The collection is built around 6 basic colours (black, grey, blue, brown, green and white), to which we have added a few trendy colours to spruce things up. As a result, the entire team, both men and women, can be dressed in uniform outfits, thereby adding to the image of your company.

There is a matching colour for each job and all products are available in 14 different sizes. Each product is subject to stringent quality requirements. That is why we work with high quality labels and brands such as Cordura®, YKK®, Wasa®, Coolpass, Proreforce, Coolmax, Flex 2000 and Flexfit®.

Herock® does not just design its collections to make you look good while you are at work, the first function for every item is to protect its wearer against external factors and physical injuries. We already explained the protection against external conditions in the three layer system. However, protecting yourself against the physical strain on your body by wearing the right clothes is

equally important. Carrying around heavy toolboxes, building materials and other equipment can start to weigh heavily on your physical frame. That is why our designers work hard on fortifying the crucial points in our clothing and taking as much pressure away from your muscles and joints. This is partly achieved by spreading out the weight of your tools and other instruments,

ensuring that no part of the body is overburdened. Our designs also ensure that you don’t have to make any unnatural movements to access your equipment.

Cordura® is a fabric that was designed by textile manufacturer Dupont. This polyamid fiber is extremely durable and strong, but very flexible at the same time. Herock® makes use of this extraordinary fabric to fortify crucial points in its clothing, for example on the knees, shoulders and elbows.

Coolpass is a highly advanced material that was designed to keep the body cool and dry at all times. This new type of polyester is a 100% breathable microfiber and ensures a better regulation of moisture. Clothing that uses the COOLPASStechnology will dry much quicker than other workwear and is highly suitable for wearing as bottom layer in the 3layer system. The clothing is worn directly on the body and will immediatly pass any transpiration moisture to the layer above. That way you’ll be warm in the winter and cool during the summer!

ProReforce is an innovative material that we designed to function as a protective shield. The fabric is made out of a 100% Oxford polyester material with an additional coating that does not only make your clothing dirtrepellent but also provides extra mechanical resistance. This extremely robust and durable fabric will protect you against any possible external factor and allow you to work in all possible conditions, whether you’re dealing with extreme weather or working conditions. Some items are completely manufactured using this fabric, others are fortified with ProReforce in crucial points.

This fabric also allows you to keep your body dry and cool: the specially designed fiber will pass your transpiration moisture to the layer above where it can evaporate. This fabric is even worn by professional athletes because of its unique ventilating abilities.

This is an extra strong polyester fabricthat is fortified with polyurethane, a PVCcoating and taped seams. This combination makes for a 100% waterproof outside, while the inside of your clothing absorbs and passes on transpiration moisture and condensation. In other words: the ideal fabric for a long day of work under the open sky or in the rain.

WASA SWEDEN QUALITY specializes in durable accessories. They use a high percentage of copper mixed with zinc, which makes their fasteners more solid, more easily workable and more securely attached in our clothing. As a result, our Herock® products become even more durable.

HEROCK® and DGSPORT will once again join forces, energy, motivation and dynamism in the battle for the Endurance World Championship 2013. The collaboration between the two Belgian companies has already proved successful in recent years with a number of wins (Bol d’Or 24H 2010, Qatar 2011, 6th place in the 2012 general ranking…). As to the drivers, Team Manager Olivier Aerts and team owner Christian Jupsin once again place their faith in our country fellowman Didier Van Keymeulen and Dutchman Raymond Schouten. This duo is both fast and constant. They will be supported by another excellent driver, Frenchman Lucas Mahias. These famous drivers will share the wheel of the magnificent HEROCK® YAMAHA R1 with n°9. Strengthened by the experience of the previous years, DGSPORT has made a number of changes to the infrastructure in order to start the 2013 season on the right foot, aiming to add more wins to its record. HEROCK® is renewing its collaboration with the TECH1 racing team in the Renault World Series. The program for both the 2.0 series and the 3.5 series features a number of top venues: Monza in Italy, Motorland in Spain, Monaco in Monaco, Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, Moscow Raceway in Russia, Redbull Ring in Austria, Hungaroring in Hungary, Paul-Ricard in France and Barcelona in Spain. In 2012 the team in HEROCK® colours finished in 2nd place in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series with driver Jules Bianchi. Jules was already a F1 test driver in 2012 and became the official driver of MARUSSIA F1 in 2013. He has left his mark on the history of TECH1 Racing, as Alvaro Parente, Daniel Ricciardo, Charles Pic, Jean-Eric Vergne and Julien Jousse have done before him. HEROCK® and ERIC VIGOUROUX RACING are going exotic as they bundle their energy and fighting spirit in the battle for a Dakar title! The 5th Dakar edition organised on the South American continent will be hosted by three countries - Chile, Argentina and Peru – that have unveiled their characteristics in the last few years. For the first time, the desert stages will make their appearance in the first few days of the rally. After reacquainting with Lima, the riders and drivers will get straight to the heart of the matter. The rest day that will take place in San Miguel de Tucuman will be more than welcome for the competitors, because, to reach Santiago, they will have to go the distance: more than 8,000 kilometres. Frenchman Eric Vigouroux, winner of the World Rally Raid Cup 2010 and residing in California, is a famous driver. His recent victory in the Morocco Rally, where he easily outperformed the Minis and Toyotas, convinced him to try his luck in South America. TOGETHER IN DAKAR!HEROCK® is going one step further in the world of motorsports. Together with the BOUTSEN GINION RACING Team, HEROCK® is going for the Blancpain Endurance Series title. In the Blancpain Endurance Series, average grids of 50 GT3 take part in the three-hour races. The schedule for this championship features a number of top venues: Dubai, Castellet in France, Silverstone in the UK, Monza in Italy, Imola in Italy, Le Mans in France, Redbull Ring in Austria, Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, Budapest in Hungary, and Nürburgring in Germany; spectacle and public assured! The season has started off very well for the HEROCK® - BOUTSEN GINION RACING team, which clocked the best lap times during the official test days in Castellet, France. As in 2012, the HEROCK® - BOUTSEN GINION RACING TEAM will be driving two McLarens – 12C GT3. The GT3 has been intensively tested in the McLaren Formule 1 simulator to fine-tune the parameters for the engine, springs, alignment and gearbox in the various configurations. No GT3 is better prepared than this one! As to the drivers, BOUTSEN GINION RACING is counting on our three fellow countrymen - popular Flemish singer Koen Wauters, Frédéric Vervisch and David Dermont – to drive the beautiful McLaren N°5.
