citigroupFor Citigroup, we ran three major projects:
1. Envisioned and managed the development a large number of prototypes of innovative new product ideas for US & Singapore Innovation Labs, generated within the lab and from other internal groups
2. Developed and Implemented an enterprise wide IP strategy in order to reboot a stagnant patent program
3. Developed and implemented an extensive patent development program for the institutional products group. Global teams ideated hundreds of interesting, forward thinking product ideas which filled the patent pipeline – which had lately only seen 5 patents a year
realtor.comFor realtor.com, we developed an internal crowdsourced foresight program, wrapped around their 20th anniversary festivities. ◦ In a very short time frame, we developed a program which resulted
in hundreds of interesting ideas, in 6 different categories. ◦ The winner’s ideas were presented at the client’s year-end parties,
and a time capsule with the ideas was locked up, to be opened in 5 years to see how many of the ideas generated turned into reality.
◦ In collaboration with the client (who developed their own internal tool to capture the ideas generated), hellofuture: 1. mapped out the program, which also included identifying
stakeholders and reviewers, rewards and outcome management2. assisted in the development of branding and materials for the
program3. wrote the artifacts from the future for release on a daily basis
walmart.comAt Walmart.com, we developed and ran the internal corporate innovation program, which generated hundreds of productizable and patentable ideas.
1. Developed overall strategy and outcomes, marketing themes and materials, configured and managed innovation management tools, developed review process, rewards and communications.
2. Organized “Innovation Days” where employees would hold collaborative ideation sessions and present ideas to each other
3. Facilitated focused innovation sessions to develop ideas for specific groups and challenges
yahooFor Yahoo, we developed and ran innovation and patent development programs
We took a very moribund program with few new ideas, to a powerhouse which generated thousands of ideas for both product and patent. 1. Developed the program from end-to-end, identifying outcomes,
stakeholders, review process and rewards. Specified and developed the idea capture tool
2. Produced product requirement documents for hundreds of patentable products and features around consumer targeting, advertising, online and mobile technologies.
3. Coordinated with global resources to create satellite IP teams around the world (India, Singapore, and Barcelona) to ensure even distribution of Yahoo IP output.
4. Successfully launched a company-wide IP campaign after obtaining the CEO’s approval that fulfilled 20% of the patent quota within the first month and identified new IP collaborators.
