Maths Phonics and Reading Writing and SPaG Wider Curriculum Monday WALT read numbers as tens and ones Look at the 2-digit numbers and answer the following questions. -How many tens does it have? -How many ones does it have? -What number is it? -Can you create the number using dienes? Each day is a new sound. For set 2 and 3 there are 2 video's that make one lesson. The first is a speed sounds lesson and the second is a spelling lesson. Watch both lessons. The speed sounds first and then the spelling. Set 2 new lessons are released daily at 10am and Set 3 lessons are released daily at 10.30am. Children to read a banded books on Bug Club This week, practice reading another story like a story teller. Read the page once to make sure that you know all the words and you know what is happening in the story. Think about what you read: Are some parts loud? Are some parts quiet? Do people talk with different voices? Are there any loud noise? Then read the page again with your best story teller voice! 1. Read about riddles. 2. Complete the ‘recognise and solve riddles’ sheet. 3. Match the riddles to the correct picture. This week it is our school sports weeks. Topic lessons this week will include 7 ‘beat the teacher’ challenges for our virtual sports day, which will be found on the school website. There will also be a mini project throughout this week. Can you create a PowerPoint presentation/a poster/ a fact-file about an athlete who has demonstrated 1 or more of our school attitudes to learning. How has this made them such an important athlete? Revisit any set 2 sounds you struggled with, then move on to set 3 sounds and spelling.

Each day is a new sound. For set 2 and 3 there are 2 video's that make one lesson. The first is a speed sounds lesson and the second is a spelling lesson. Watch both lessons. The ChallengeCan you choose an athlete that you think has demonstrated one or more of our school values? They can participate in any sport either as a team or an individual. This may take all week to research, plan and create.
