‘Thank You!’ from Beverley Manor Dear Hebron Church,

I wanted to take one final opportunity to say “thank you” for your endless generosity in supporting students and families of Beverley Manor Elementary School. Your kindness has been a vital part of our positive, stu-dent-centered school community over many years. Thank you for your continuous support of our weekly food bag program, and the students it served. You defi-nitely represent the idea that “it takes a village to raise a child.” With sincere thanks,

Miranda Ball, Principal

To Celebrate America, Begin With Thanks To God On July 4, 2017, we will celebrate the 241st birthday

of the United States of America. Even as we celebrate the human and political institution that is our nation, along with being thankful for the abundant beauty and blessings of the natural resources within our national borders, we must be careful to give even more thanks to God.

The Star Spangled Banner, the U.S. national anthem, includes in the final verse, “Blest with victory and peace, may the Heav’n rescued land / Praise the Power

that hath made and preserved us a nation.” “Heaven” and “Power” are capitalized because they stand for God in that sentence. This verse says God made and pre-served this nation, rescuing it in wartime.

And as Psalm 33:16-17 tells us, “A king is not saved by his great army; a warrior is not delivered by his great strength. The war horse is a vain hope for victory, and by its great might it cannot save.”

Be grateful for all who now serve, and all who have served, our nation. But begin with gratitude to God.
