Verse 3—Son, according to Handbook of SDA Theology, p. 166
A Son, among many other references to sons, such as angels (Job 1:6; 38:7)
5
The Scriptures declare that upon one occasion, when the angels of God came to present themselves before the Lord, Satan came also among them (Job 1:6), not to bow before the Eternal King, but to further his own malicious designs against the righteous. (GC 518.3)
6
The very angels who, when Satan was seeking the supremacy, fought the battle in the heavenly courts and triumphed on the side of God, the very angels who shouted for joy over the creation of our world [Job 38:7] and its sinless inhabitants, the angels who witnessed the fall of man and his expulsion from his Eden home..these very heavenly messengers are most intensely interested to work in union with the fallen, redeemed race for the salvation of human beings perishing in their sins. (6T 456.2)

Verse 3—Son, according to Handbook of SDA Theology, p. 166
A Son, among many other references to sons—angels (Job 1:6; 38:7), righteous people (Genesis 6:2)
As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (Romans 8:14)
The descendants of Seth were called the sons of God; the descendants of Cain, the sons of men. As the sons of God mingled with the sons of men, they became corrupt and, by intermarriage with them, lost, through the influence of their wives, their peculiar, holy character, and united with the sons of Cain in their idolatry. (SR 62.1)
8
But these sons of God were not begotten.
9
Christ came to redeem humanity from Satan’s science. The enemy is close beside those who, though once knowing the freedom of the sons of God, are now linking up with the enemy in an effort to outwit those whom the Lord is using in this time of peril to accomplish the work that He has declared must be done. (Lt 100, 1906, par. 8)
10
The same spirit that was moving the priests and rulers had moved the heart and mind of Cain to slay his brother. It is the apostasy from truth that worketh in the children of disobedience to silence the voice of those who are calling them to obedience, and provoke the loyal to become disloyal as Cain tried to provoke Abel. (Ms 104, 1897, par. 11)
11
12
To man the first intimation of redemption was communicated in the sentence
pronounced upon Satan in the garden. The Lord declared, “I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” Genesis 3:15.
(PP 65)
The prediction given in Eden [Genesis 3:15] refers in a special manner to Christ, and to all who accept and confess Him as the only begotten Son of God. (Ms 104, 1897, par. 25)
