Extra Care Facility - Alma Road, Peterborough The successful regeneration of a derelict recreation ground was a key objective of the project brief received by brp architects for their design of this new contemporary Extra Care facility for the Accent Nene Group.

Set within Millfield, an inner city area of Peterborough and overlooking a new 1.1 hectare public park the building provides a total of 40 units, comprising a mix of one and two bedroom apartments. In addition to the principle accommodation there are extensive communal amenity spaces including hair salon, fitness suite, arts and craft room, cinema and

laundry as well as full care / support facilities such as assisted bathrooms, a consulting room and guest suites.

Each apartment is fully self-contained, offering residents complete independent living, however, this is all supported by a large communal lounge and fully catered dining area at ground floor, which lead out into the private courtyard / sensory garden.
