This evening we will have dinner at Dukes on Waololo Beach. We’ll enjoy a fabulous dinner, topped off by Duke’s world famous Hula pie, an Oreo cookie bottom, mountain of ice cream, covered with fudge and macadamia nuts!

Thursday, October 26 | B: This morning, we will enjoy a city tour of Honolulu with a local guide. Our tour will include Iolani Palace, the State Capitol, Kawaiahao Church and Mission Homes, and the King Kamehameha Statue. We’ll return to the hotel later this morning and the remainder of the day will be at leisure. Lunch and dinner are on your own today, and there are options within close proximity of our hotel.

Friday, October 27 | B: Today is a full day of leisure on Oahu, or you can take an optional tour to the Big Island of Hawaii.

Just a 45-minute flight from Oahu is the Big Island of Hawaii. This daylong trip showcases the Big Island’s breathtaking diversity—from lush tropical rainforests to world-famous coffee fields to volatile volcanoes. We will fly into Kona and begin our adventure at Parker Ranch, then travel to Rainbow Falls State Park, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Punaluu Black Sand Beach and past the world-renowned Kona coffee fields. At the first stop at Rainbow Falls State Park, soaring waterfalls cascade from a natural volcanic backdrop. Next is a visit to Big Island Candies, famous for its chocolate-dipped, macadamia nut shortbread cookie. Of course, an exploration around the Big Island would hardly be complete without a visit to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park to encounter Kilauea, one of the world’s most active volcanoes, and Mauna Loa, the most massive volcano on the globe. Seeing these untamed volcanic wonders will leave you in awe of nature’s brute power and provide a deeper understanding of the island’s colorful, volcano-inspired legends. After leaving the park, the tour heads to Punaluu Black Sand Beach, where sea turtles often nest, then we will be off to see the world-renowned Kona coffee plantations. The adventure winds down with gorgeous scenes of Kealekekua Bay, the first place Westerner Capt. James Cook landed in the Hawaiian Islands. A truly unforgettable experience! We will fly back to Honolulu early this evening. Cost of optional Big Island of Hawaii Tour: $415 per person. Includes round trip air, transfers, and full-day (11-hour) tour.

Saturday, October 28 | B, D: Today we will enjoy an included tour around Oahu on the Grand Circle Tour. During this captivating adventure, we will be swept off to the island’s most awe-inspiring landmarks and destinations, including the world-famous Hanauma Bay, the spouting “Blow Hole,” Pali Lookout and the North Shore surfing beaches. The tour begins at Diamond Head, then heads past the lavish beachfront residences of celebrities and moguls in Kahala. The trip continues east to Hanauma Bay, then stops at the Halona “Blow Hole,” where a natural volcanic lava tube shoots water to dramatic heights. A stop in Waimanalo will allow us to experience the small-town side of Oahu; then enjoy sweeping views from the Pali Lookout. At the Byodo-In Temple, tucked in the Valley of the Temples, we will see a half-sized replica of Japan’s 450-year-old place of worship. At the northern peak of the island, the tour cruises by the North Shore’s best surfing beaches, then ends at Dole Plantation, home to the famous Dole Whip ice cream. A perfect way to cap a sweet day!

Dinner at a local restaurant is included this evening.

Sunday, October 29 | B: Today is a full day of leisure on Oahu, or you can take an optional tour to the island of Maui.

The Island of Maui, also known as the Valley Isle, is Hawaii’s second largest island and home to a wide variety of visitor attractions. On Maui, you can find everything from miles of pristine white sand beaches to tours of historic towns filled with rich history and endless culture. We will start our tour with a 45-minute flight from Honolulu to Kahului, Maui. We will be met by our local guide who will take us on a tour that will delight our senses. As we travel toward some of Maui’s

most breathtaking locations, we pass through rainforests and waterfalls in the cooler, wetter regions, and volcanic areas and dramatic foliage in Maui’s drier spots. There are spectacular ocean views along portions of the route. A long, ascending road through horse farms and towering eucalyptus groves takes us to Haleakala National Park. We will visit the spectacular volcanic crater, Mt. Haleakala, which in Hawaiian means “House of the Rising Sun.” At an altitude of 10,023 feet we are literally above the clouds. We’ll even be able to see Mauna Loa volcano on the neighboring Big Island. (Climbing to this altitude is generally not recommended for people with heart conditions or those prone to altitude sickness. A 24-hour wait period is also recommended for anyone that has recently been scuba diving). Then it’s on to Iao Valley, where King Kamehameha defeated Maui’s army, and the Iao Needle, a massive, tree-covered lava formation that towers above the valley floor at a height of 2,250 feet. We’ll also visit Lahaina Town, a 19th century whaling village. Lahaina is also known for its popular restaurants, boutiques, and galleries, which you’ll have plenty of time to explore when you stop here for lunch. Later this afternoon we will return to Honolulu.

Cost of optional Maui Tour: $415 per person. Includes round trip air, transfers, and full day (8.5 hours) tour.

Monday, October 30 | B: This morning we will enjoy an included tour of Pearl Harbor and the USS Missouri. The legacy of Pearl Harbor lives on, with Hawaii playing a critical role during the turn of events that reshaped world history. We will explore firsthand what happened on December 7, 1941 and how it greatly impacted the outcome of World War II. The excursion begins at Pearl Harbor to relive the events that unfolded on that fateful Sunday morning in 1941, when U.S. forces at Pearl Harbor came under attack by Japan, catapulting the United States into World War II. Along with viewing film footage captured that fateful day, we will walk in the footsteps of Gen. Douglas MacArthur on the USS Battleship Missouri (the Mighty Mo) and see remains of a Japanese A6M2 Zero that was part of the Pearl Harbor attack. If possible, we will obtain tickets to see the USS Arizona Memorial. Accessible only by boat, the USS Arizona Memorial serves as a place of reflection as the final resting place for the more than 1,000 crewmen who lost their lives during the attack. Following our tour, we will return to the hotel and you will have the rest of the day at leisure.

This evening we will offer an optional luau at Germaine’s Luau where we will enjoy a traditional Hawaiian luau experience on a fabulous private beach. Highlights include the Royal Procession, a traditional Hawaiian Imu ceremony – the ritual of raising the roasted pig from the underground oven, a Hawaiian buffet-style dinner featuring time-honored luau delicacies, and a Polynesian review featuring traditional ceremonies, music, and dances.

Cost of optional Luau: $118 per person. Includes round trip transportation, shell lei greeting, buffet dinner - Hawaiian Luau menu with special seating in prime section of dining area, souvenir photo and booklet, and 3 specialty drink tickets.

We will depart the Polynesian Cultural Center at 6 PM, so will be back in Waikiki by 7:30 PM. Dinner and lunch will be on your own today.
