Preparation and Scheduling of Operator Licensing Examinations

Ladies and Gentlemen:

On March 26, 2018, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Regulatory Issue Summary (RIS) 2018-02, "Preparation and Scheduling of Operator Licensing Examinations." RIS 2018-02 requests that licensees voluntarily submit projections of their site-specific operator licensing examination schedules as well as the estimated number of applicants planning to take operator licensing and generic fundamental examinations for years 2020-2023.

Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) hereby provides as enclosures to this letter the requested information on NRC form 536 for Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant- Units 1 and 2, Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant- Units 1 and 2, and Vogtle Electric Generating Plant- Units 1 and 2. The estimates provided represent SNC's current understanding, but are subject to possible change in the future. These enclosures supersede previous, similar RIS responses.
