Hamptons Magazine: What are three things you

love about summer in the Hamptons and why?

Tim Davis: First, believe it or not, the crowds.

They energize, while at the same time make me

appreciate what I have all year round. Second,

longer days that seem to require less sleep.

Third, water; the beach, the bay, my pool. It both

relaxes and invigorates me.

HM: If you could be any age for a week what

would that be?

TD: 35.

HM: If you had a chance for a do-over in life,

what would you do differently?

TD: I would have had three more children.

HM: If you could travel anywhere, where would

you go and why?

TD: Safari in Kenya. To see those kinds of

animals up close, in that natural environment,

I think would thrilling and unforgettable beyond

imaginationa once in a life time experience.

HM: If you could only keep four possessions,

what would they be?

TD: 1. My photographs. 2. The gold Cartier

watch my wife bought for me when I sold

Wooldon Manor. 3. Flower Cottage, our

guesthouse on Davis Creek. 4. The box of

letters and cards given to me by family and

friends over the years on birthdays, holidays,

and special occasions.

HM: What was one of the most de ning

moments in your life?

TD: The sale of my company Allan Schneider

Associates to NRT/Corcoran in 2006.

HM: What do you feel most proud of?

TD: My 33 year marriage to my wife Susan, and

our 3 sons, now young men.

HM: How do you spend your free time?

TD: When I can, traveling the world.

HM: What is your strongest personal quality?

TD: Being able to listen to people and help them

de ne their needs by looking to themselves for

the answers.

HM: If you could witness any event of the past,

present, or future, what would it be?

TD: Future; the birth of my grandchildren.

HM: Do you ever cook and if so, what is your

go-to dish?

TD: (laughs) I grill. Branzino.

HM: What question do you hate to answer?

TD: How much commission did you make on

that deal?

HM: Which of the four seasons in the Hamptons

do you love best?

TD: De nitely summer.
