Summer Internship Project Report (Guideline) 1. At the end of second semester examination, every student of MBA will undergo on-the-job practical training in any manufacturing or financial organization. The training will be of 8 to 10 weeks duration. 2. During the training, the student is expected to learn about the organization and analyze and sugges t solutions of a live problem. The Objective is to equip the student with the knowledge of actual functioning of the organization and problems faced by them for exploring feasible solutions and suggestions. 3. During the course of training, the organization (where the student is undergoing training) will assign a problem/project to the student. 4. The student, after the completion of training will submit a report to the Centre  / Institute, which will form part of its examination and award of Letter Grade I (Incomplete), U (Unsatisfactory) and S (Satisfactory). A student must satisfactorily complete Summer Training to move to Semester – III. In other case he/she will do the correction highlighted by the Examiners within stipulated period or may be asked to undertake the same again at the end of Semester- IV. 5. The report must be submitted on the date mentioned in the guideline. 6. The report (based on training and the problem/project studied) prepared by the student will be known as Summer Training Report. The report should be ordinarily be based on primary data. It should reflect in depth study of micro problem, ordinarily assigned by t he organization where student undergoes training. Relevant tables and bibliography should support it. One comprehens ive chapter must be included about the organization where the student has undergone training . This should deal with brief history of the organization, its structure, performance products/services and problems faced. This chapter will form part I of the Report. 8.  The report will be evaluated by a panel of nominated examiners.

9.  It is mandatory that the student will make presentation in the presence of 

teachers and students. The student is expected to answer to the queries and

questions raised in such a meeting.

10. Institute / Centre has allocated Faculty mentor in order to help you performing

better in the organization. It is compulsory for you to be in touch with faculty

and submit your weekly report on every Saturday before 12noon.

11. Dadlines of the Project are below mentioned: 

•  Last Date for Submission of Rough Draft: 27th

June 2011

•  Last Date for Submission of Final Copy: 4th

1.  Your Summer internship will be from 9th

May 2010 to 3rd

July 2010. Any

extension to summer project will be subject to request from organization.

2.  Submission Date of Summer Internship Project is: 4th

July 2010. After that No

Project will be accepted.

3.  During your project there will be faculty mentor allotted to you. It is

compulsory to report to your faculty on weekly basis. A report of actual work 

done should be submitted on every Saturday before 12.00pm to faculty.

4.  Sound preliminary investigation about data availability and sources of data

must be undertaken before opting for an industry.

5.  You are going as an ambassador of this organization hence it is compulsory to

maintain discipline, ethical practice and Good Professional ethics. You should

always wear formal clothes during working days. Maintain Clean and descent

appearance.

6.  Students can undertake Summer internship in group of 2. More then 2

Students working in same organization with same location have to undertakedifferent assignment.

7.  Department of Management will carryout students “On Project Performance

Analysis”.
