GROUP PROPERTy 1: ROLES- a set of expected behavior patterns attributed to someone occupying a given position in a social unit.- One of the tasks in understanding behavior is grasping the role a person is currently playing.

Role PerceptionAn individuals view of how he or she is supposed to act in a given situation.Role Expectation the way others believe you should act in a given contextpsychological contract - an unwritten agreement that exists between employees and employer

Role ConflictA situation in which an individual is confronted by divergent role expectations.At the extreme, two or more role expectations are mutually contradictory.
