Recipes

YORKSHIRE PUDDINGS

Prepare the batter at least half an hour before baking to give the flourgrains time to swell.

1 cup (125 g) cake flour½ t (2,5 ml) salt



¾ cup (180 ml) milk2 extra large eggs¼ cup (60 ml) wateroil for cooking

Sift the flour and salt together. Make a hollow in the flour mixture. Addthe milk, water and eggs to the hollow. Blend the liquids graduallyinto the flour mixture, stirring and beating continuously with a wirewhisk, electric beater or use a food processor. Decant into a jug forpouring. Leave to stand at room temperature for 30 minutes. Preheatthe oven to 220°C.
