WHAT IS GREENTAG ENDORSEMENT
PROGRAM?The GreenTag Endorsement Programme was
established with the objective to encouragemore producers,
manufacturers, importers,service providers, wholesalers and
retailersmove towards providing environmentallysafe and sustainable
products andservices.
GreenTag provides information toconsumers and help them to
informedpurchasing decisions. We verify that your product was
producedaccording to your environmental declaration, making it a
favourablechoice for consumers.
Attaining GreenTag is the first step towards achieving
higher,internationally recognized environmental standard
certification suchas Eco-label Certification for your products or
services.

HOW TO APPLY FOR GREENTAG?
Step 1: Qualify your company and product
Check for eligibility to apply;
Eligibility requirement: You are a legally registered Malaysian
owned company Your product or service must comply to at least one
of the
following: Minimises degradation of the environment Zero or low
Green House Gas (GHG) emission Safe for use and promotes healthy
and better living
environment Conserves the use of energy and natural resources
Promotes the use of renewable resources
Step 2: Download application form
Go to www.greendirectory.my and download the form. Completeyour
company and product information as required.
Step 3: Compile evidence
Provide documentation to support each environmentaldeclaration
made as required. Evidence can be in the form ofauthorised third
party test results, documents or data sheets.
Step 4: Submit application
Submit your application form along with relevant documentsthat
support your environmental declaration.
Your application will be processed within two weeks ofsubmission
date. You will, however, be requested to submit
additional documents should the ones presented earlier werefound
to be insufficient.
Step 5: Upon Approval
Upon approval of your application, Malaysian Green
TechnologyCorporation will award your product or service with
GreenTag
endorsement.
You can use the GreenTag logo on your promotional
materials.However, the logo is strictly not to be used on your
product label,as GreenTag is not a certification scheme.
The endorsement is valid for two years. You are encouraged
toupgrade to Eco-label Certification by the end of the two-year
period. Training and consultation will be given to SMEs who
wish
to go for Eco-label Certification.
