    United States Military Base

    CLEANBOOST SOLUTION

    The base operations group selected nine different vehicles for the fuel efficiency test and four dif

    machines for the emissions test. The vehicles ranged in age and type and the machines. Baseline

    per gallon and emissions readings were taken prior to the test period. The four different emissions re

    were carbon monoxide, nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide, and NOx emissions. After the baseline rea

    CleanBoost combustion catalyst was added to the vehicles and machines for a two-month test p

    with data being collected twice a week.

    SituationA United States mi l i tary base was being f ined an average of $38,000 per month by

    EPA for emissions violat ions from its vehicles and machinery. Any decreas

    emissions would resul t in major reduct ions in monthly f ines and would save the b

    a s igni f icant amount of money that could be used elsewhere. They were also loo

    for a way to increase the fuel ef f ic iency of i ts base vehic les, ranging f rom t ractor

    vans, to t rucks.

    erformance Testing and Results

    The results after the testing period were dramatic and not only significantly increased fuel efficiency

    is estimated that once implemented across the entire base, it will completely eliminate the monthly

    emissions fines.

    The average fuel efficiency increase across the nine vehicles was 19%, with one Peterbuilt OTR T

    seeing an increase of 60%. Emissions saw significant decreases, with carbon monoxide falling ove

    and NOx particulate emissions falling about 27%.
