INTRODUCTIONGreece is a country
located in southeastern Europe. Its capital is
Athens. Greece is located in the Balkan
peninsula. Its composes by almost 6000 islands
scattered across the Mediterranean sea. The biggest island is Creta.
CLIMATE
The Greek climate is divided in 3 main parts: Mediterranean climate,
pine climate and tempered climate. These climates are mixed over
Greece.
HISTORYIn ancient Greece was one of the most technologically advanced regions in the
West and it was possessed of a rich cultural tradition. It was famous for his scientific
knowledge, its thinkers and writers, their art. and temples.
LANGUAGESGreece is today relatively homogeneous in linguistic
terms, with a large majority of the native population
using Greek as their first or only language. The Muslim minority in Thrace, which amounts to approximately
0.95% of the total population, consists of
speakers of Turkish, Bulgarian and Romani.

RELIGIONThe Greek Constitution guarantees
absolute freedom of religion. It also says that all people living in the Greek territory shall enjoy full protection of the religious
beliefs. Under the Constitution, the "prevailing religion" is the
Greek Orthodox Church based in the capital city of Athens. Greek
Muslims are about 1.3 % and most of them are in Thrace. There are also evangelical
Protestants and Catholic, mainly in the Cyclades, and Jews, especially in Thessaloniki.
