Page 1 Graduation Ceremony and Rehearsals Schedule Advice on the Graduation Ceremony for Graduates Suranaree University of Technology Graduation Ceremony and Rehearsals Schedule Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) has set up three days for the Rehearsal Schedules. Graduates are obliged to attend every session of the rehearsals as arranged by the University. Students who are unable to attend any one of the three rehearsals will not be allowed to participate in the Graduation Ceremony unless it is proven that there is a sound reason. However, students who do not attend all three sessions must notify and receive approval from the University prior to their participation in the Graduation Ceremony. Graduation Ceremony and Rehearsals Schedule

Suranaree University of Technology (SUT) has set up three days for the Rehearsal Schedules. Graduates are obliged to attend every session of the rehearsals as arranged by the University. Dress Code for SUT Graduation Ceremony Rehearsals

for Male and Female Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree and Ph.D. Graduates

First and Second Rehearsals:

- Bachelor’s Degree graduates must wear the ceremonial dress and shoes that will be worn

on the Graduation Day

- Master’s Degree and Ph.D. Graduates

Male graduates must wear a white long-sleeved shirt with black, dark grey or navy-blue

pants, black socks, and shiny black leather shoes.

Female graduates must wear a white short-sleeved shirt with a black, dark grey or navy-

blue skirt with the length of at least 2 inches below the knees and shiny black leather

shoes.

Final Rehearsal:

All graduates must wear the required ceremonial dress on Graduation Day.

1. SUT Male and Female Bachelor’s Degree Graduates:

Official and Ceremonial Dresses respectively

1.1 Dress Code for All Male Graduates: Male graduates must wear a ceremonial

gown over a white long-sleeved shirt with no decoration, pointed collar, straight button line,

studded white buttons, and left pocket. The shirt should be long enough to be tucked into the

pants. You must also wear a grey necktie which is of the same color as the pants, embroidered

with SUT logo and a 4 cm. wide black leather belt with SUT buckle. A pair of plain shiny leather

shoes must be worn with black socks. The blazer must be grey with SUT logo.

Official and Ceremonial Dresses respectively

1.2 Dress Code for All Female Graduates: Female graduates must wear the

ceremonial gown over a white short-sleeved shirt with no decoration, pointed collar button up

with SUT metal buttons. The shirt should be thick and long enough to be tucked into the skirt.

Affix SUT pin at the left side of the shirt (second button level). The skirt must be plain dark grey

in color made from thick cotton material with no decoration. It must cover both knees for at

least 2 inches and must be accessorized with 4-cm. black belt with SUT buckle. Shoes must be

closed and black with a maximum of 2-inches height, no decoration (shoes made from suede,

patent leather, or any other fashionable styles of shoes, i.e., wedge shoes are not allowed). A

pair of plain flesh-tone stockings must also be worn.

1.3 Dress Code for All Female Muslim Graduates: The shirt must be white

with long sleeves, buttoned sleeve links and no decoration. The “Hijab” must be grey and a

long dark grey skirt covered with the ceremonial gown.

NOTE: All Muslim graduates must file a request to the University for approval (prior to the Graduation Ceremony).

2. Dress Code for Male and Female Graduates from the Civil Aviation Training Center

Official and Ceremonial Dresses respectively

2.1 Dress Code for All Male and Male Muslim Graduates: Graduates must

wear the ceremonial gown over the Center’s navy-blue suit and the official dress which features a white short-sleeved shirt with no decoration, straight studded white buttons and shoulder loops of the same shirt color. On the right hand side is the Center’s sign indicating the year you are in and its logo. The shirt should have two pockets (on the second button level) which should be covered by the same shirt material. Tuck the shirt into the plain dark navy-blue pants. The pants should have 2 pleats, 2 pockets in front and back pockets. A plain 3-4 cm. leather belt with the Center’s buckle must also be worn. Use a maroon necktie embroidered with the Center’s blue airplane and the letters “CATC” on the left tip. The leather shoes must be black with plain heel covers and black or navy-blue socks. Graduates must wear the Center’s navy-blue suit covered with the ceremonial gown.

2.4 Dress Code for Graduates who are Government Officials and

Public Servants: The ceremonial gown must be worn over the uniform.

Graduates who do not comply the dress code rules and regulations

will not be allowed to participate in the Graduation Ceremony

NOTE: The University will not be responsible for the graduates who order an inappropriate

ceremonial gown from other shops. Graduates who wear improper ceremonial gown will NOT be

allowed to participate in the Graduation ceremony.
