IFBC Advent Study:
All Sunday School teachers are invited to a short meeting on Sunday, November 6, at 4:00 pm, to go
over a four week Advent Study for your class. Teachers will be provided additional resources and
commentary for preparing your lessons. If you would like to participate but are not able to meet on
Sunday, November 6, please let me know as soon as possible. My hope is that every class will
participate as we grow and form together through a unified Bible study.

Blessed
by Paul G. Moore
November calls our attention to thanksgiving. Christians are called to be giving thanks always. Our national thanksgiving season helps us sharpen our thankful focus. As a church we can give thanks for the way the Lord has blessed us. What
kinds of things do you notice about our church for which you are thankful?
I am thankful for the resources we are given regularly that allow us to engage in ministry. Our greatest resource, after
the power of the Spirit, is the people who make up our church. With their time and talent these people give of
themselves in ministry to the church family and out into the community. We also have been given tremendous financial
resources which allow us to fund the ministries done by the hands of the people.
Join me in saying thanks to God for all our blessings. Join with me in sacrificially and generously giving time, talent and
money so our ministry can continue and expand.
