THE HEART & ANCHOR
St Augustine’s & St Clement’s Churches Bradford BD3 Notices for the week commencing 8th December 2019
Peace-making for the Congo We have peacemakers in our congregation in the form of Ben and Kongosi Mussanzi who have been developing the work of CRC (Centre Resolution
Conflicts) in conflict resolution for the Congo since Ben had to flee 18 years ago. They visited together for the first time this summer. Now their son Rahema is awaiting a visa to return to the Congo to lead CRC there. It is still a violent and dangerous place to be so this is a courageous decision.
He is looking to God to fund his role and we want to support him.
What are the other ways we can and do make peace here in Bradford?

Anchor Project Celebrations
HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL THANKYOU to everyone who made
the Anchor Project 15th Anniversary celebrations so wonderful. The cei-
lidh band said we were the most enthusiastic (if not accurate) danc-
ers they had ever seen. People from all faiths and none and many differ-ent backgrounds, from St Clements and St Augustines joined staff, vol-unteers, trustees and friends. The curry was spicy and young and old had a ball. We sampled activities
from the Project in our Advent Ser-vice and made some connections. Did you know that Bingo gets us in
the groove for Watching and Waiting. Especial thanks to Indi, Kate, Kathy, Nick, John Joyce the Chair, Fr Nick, Tim for the service,
all the volunteers and above all, God .
Worship We have a beautiful new digital
piano, which is mobile and versatile. Many thanks for this generous gift by
an anonymous donor. We will experiment in the round
during Advent—and take feedback
