Hello and welcome to the April Issue of GIRL STIR. As the name promises we

deliver the information that the mainstream media outlets do not exactly want to report on. Whether it’s health, wealth or politics, we’ve got you covered.

This issue we are talking seed saving. I know many of our readers are first season gardeners so I wanted to take some time this issue to introduce you to seed saving. If you took our advice and bought heirloom (open pollinated) seeds at the beginning of the growing season then seed saving will be a snap. If you didn’t and you went for the hybrid variety, well you are out of luck. And you can read why in the article, It’s Time To Save Seed.

What would GIRL STIR be without a little politics to get your blood rate going and this issue is no exception. For those of you who choose not to follow politics, you better get involved because some really

serious things are being slipped in under the radar that absolutely threaten our way of life. This is no joke or red herring people and you can find out why in the Article, You Scare Me.

Now for the fun news! We are now including a new directory section in the back of the magazine with tons of businesses who are ready and willing to serve you! They understand your needs and are just waiting to help you with them. So check them out and as always tell your advertisers you saw them in GIRL STIR.

I think that’s about all we have to tell you so now it’s time to sit back, relax, and enjoy this issue of GIRL STIR.

Don’t forget to check out the new issue of Pet Junction. If you’ve got pets, you do not want to be without your best friend, PJ, ok, second best friend. See you next month, same time, same sandbox!

Because a positive mental attitude will cause its possessor to have a charitable, interested and generous frame of mind toward those with whom

he deals, it also follows that it will generate flexibility of mind. For if one is genuinely interested in another person and sees the good in that other person, he will be able to understand that person’s ideas and attitudes and to have sympathy toward them even if such ideas and attitudes differ from his own.

Flexibility of mind is this ability to understand and sympathize with another’s point of view or way of doing things, and to adapt one’s self to harmonious operation with the viewpoints and ways of others. This does not mean that in order to achieve flexibility of mind one must be willing to change his own mind with every new thought, idea or custom which is presented to him. Indeed not! Such a person would be a spineless jelly fish and certainly would not be a pleasing personality. Flexibility of mind is simply the ability to understand, sympathize and harmonize with the ideas, attitudes and customs of others to such an extent that a pleasant, successful, working relationship can be established and enjoyed.

“Flexibility,” said Andrew Carnegie, “was the one quality which gained for Charles M. Schwab the reputation of being one of America’s greatest salesman. He could get down on the ground and play a game of marbles with a group of boys, making himself one of the lads for the moment; then get up, walk into his office and be ready to enter a master mind meeting where he was called upon to make decisions involving millions of dollars.”

Life is one continuous series of experiences in salesmanship through which one must sell himself to every person he meets in his social, professional or occupational contacts. The person who lacks sufficient flexibility to enable him to harmonize his mental attitude with those of the persons with whom he comes into contact will not achieve a pleasing personality.

19QUESTION I CHALLENGE I RETHINK

If you have ever cared for a geriatric pet, then you know what it’s like to

hear those dreaded words, ‘There is nothing more we can do’ ; or even worse if your veterinarian simply says, ‘Call me when it’s time… you will know when that is.’ However this does not mean that euthanasia is the only option available to you. Pet Hospice is an emerging field in veterinary medicine and is a unique approach to your pet’s end-of-life needs.  Extrapolated from human hospice, this specific type of veterinary care revolves around the client-patient-doctor relationship and is focused on maintaining comfort and quality of life for of your pet, not at finding a cure for his or her disease.

As a veterinarian that solely practices in-home hospice and euthanasia, I have been given the unique privilege to help families during what I believe is the most important time they have with their geriatric or terminally ill pet. So often a pet owner who has just heard that their pet has a terminal illness needs time: Time to think, time to adjust, and time to make decisions. Veterinary hospice care supports both pet and family during this time.

The first and most important step in hospice care is educating yourself about your pet’s medical condition. You need to know what to expect in those last few months, weeks, days, and/or hours in order to make the

best decision for you, your pet, and your family.

The second step is making sure your pet is treated palliatively. This means your pet is being medically treated for comfort or anxiety. Unfortunately too many families I consult say, ‘Well – we don’t want to give him medication and have him drugged up’. Luckily, veterinary hospice is not about giving them such high doses of strong medication that they can’t function; it’s about making sure they feel good throughout the day and have a comfortable full night’s sleep. There are also a number of things that can be done in the home to help pets with their daily routines. For example: many large dogs that suffer from arthritis lose their footing on our south Florida tile or wood floors but this can be easily resolved by simply providing traction. Bath mats or yoga mats will give your pet stable footing to help navigate around the house. This will also help to reduce muscle atrophy that is more common in dogs with arthritis – they simply don’t want to use their back legs anymore so they get even weaker.

The third step in hospice care is evaluating Quality of Life.   This can be very subjective terminology and is highly dependent on the disease process your pet is experiencing, your pet’s personality, and your personal beliefs.  Determining quality of life is made easy when you have a scale

and diary to help guide you. We have Quality of Life scale on our website that allows you to grade your pet on the top 6 most common symptoms geriatric pets face (ex: appetite, hydration, interaction/attitude, mobility, etc). After giving your pet a ‘grade’ you can determine where they are in terms of their condition and if medical intervention or even euthanasia is appropriate.

Hospice is not synonymous with euthanasia, although euthanasia should be discussed and be a part of a hospice program. Almost all clients want their pet to curl up peacefully at night and pass in their sleep. However, natural death is not always that simple, fast or painless. If a pet has not eaten for a week or moved from the same spot, it is not fair to let them suffer until they finally go into organ failure. As pet parents we are responsible for making sure our pets do not suffer – even if that means we have to suffer a little ourselves and make tough decisions.

Euthanasia should be looked at as a gift of peace which you can give to your pet that no longer has a positive quality of life. When done properly,

euthanasia is very peaceful and does not hurt. The medications veterinarians use are an overdose of anesthesia which simply stops brain function - so pets pass in their sleep (exactly what many pet parents want to happen anyway). There is a saying that I love, ‘It is better to help your pet a day too soon than a day to late.” Although very hard emotionally for families, knowing their pet is finally at peace and not in pain anymore can help them deal with the situation.

When I work with families on implementing a hospice plan I make sure that both myself and the family have the same goals in mind; top on the list - comfort of the pet. Many people think what I do is depressing and ask how I can only focus on this field of veterinary medicine. I’ve had the love of a pet and lost it so I know what families are going through and how they need a service like this to help them during this time. Meeting the wonderful families who LOVE their pets is worth any emotional drain I may have at the end of the day. The hugs I receive are worth all the tears I shed.

Elson M. Haas, M.D., one of the nations

leading experts in the field of natural health and the author of Staying Healthy

with Nutrition, tells us that digestive tract health is one of the core components of overall wellbeing.

The body is a cauldron of chemical reactions, and each such reaction requires the services of an enzyme. In the natural products world, enzymes have become known as little facilitators of digestion, breaking down nutrients into their usable parts. Very specific in nature, each enzyme acts on a specific type of chemical, called a substrate, in what is commonly referred to as a lock-and-key relationship-the enzyme’s shape fits only its intended substrate. This is why people with insufficient production of the enzyme lactase struggle to breakdown lactose after ingesting dairy products.

By nature, many of the foods we eat contain the enzymes necessary to digest that food. However, many variables, such

as heating, can deplete these food-borne enzymes. It is best to consume natural foods that are either raw or minimally heated to preserve food-borne enzymes. Also, while the body makes its own menu of enzymes, this production can be negatively affected by aging and other health factors. Supplementation has become one favored method of ensuring the proper enzyme mix in the body. Adding a quality digestive enzyme supplement has many benefits, however, there is no substitute for natural enzymes contained in raw healthy food.

D i g e s t i v e e n z y m e s h a v e b e e n f o u n D t o b e u s e f u l f o r :

• Those under stress. • Those who use antacids, as antacids can decrease enzyme effectiveness and secretion. • Those who eat fried, grilled, or baked foods as these methods of preparation destroy naturally occurring enzyme activity. • Those with teeth or jaw problems, as improper chewing of food decreases enzyme secretion. • People with deficient digestive enzymes due to illness or aging.

very year a few gardeners ask about saving seed from their flowers and vegetables. We would not have the wonderful heirloom varieties if someone hadn’t kept the seeds year to year. Seed saving can be a rewarding and cost saving way to garden, but beware of the pitfalls.

Not every plant’s seeds are worth keeping. Hybrid plants are developed by crossing specific parent plants. Hybrids are wonderful plants but the seed is often sterile or does not reproduce true to the parent plant. Therefore, never save the seed from hybrids. Another major problem is some plants’ flowers are open pollinated by insects, wind or people. These plants include squash, cucumbers, melon, parsley, cabbage, chard, broccoli, mustard greens, celery, spinach, cauliflower, kale, radish, beets, onion, and basil. These plants cross with others within their family. The only way to maintain the original variety is to isolate by large distances. Isolation is often impossible or impractical in a home garden.

Some seeds may transmit certain diseases. A disease that infected a crop at the end of the growing season may do little damage to that crop. However, if the seed is saved and planted the following year, the disease may severely injure or even kill the young plants.

What can you save? Standard or heirloom varieties that are not cross-pollinated by nearby plants are good candidates. Many gardeners successfully keep beans, tomatoes, lettuce, and peppers. Plants you know are heirloom varieties are easy to save. Ask the person or organization you obtained the seed from how they did it. Some people like to experiment, but make sure you don’t bet the whole garden on saved seed.

When saving seed, always harvest from the best. Choose disease-

free plants with qualities you desire. Look for the most flavorful vegetables or beautiful flowers. Consider size, harvest time and other characteristics.

Always harvest mature seed. For example, cucumber seeds at the eating stage are not ripe and will not germinate if saved. You must allow the fruit and seed to fully mature. Because seed set reduces the vigor of the plant and discourages further fruit production, wait until near the end of the season to save fruit for seed.Seeds are mature or ripe when flowers are faded and dry or have puffy tops. Plants with pods, like beans, are ready when the pods are brown and dry. When seeds are ripe they usually turn from white to cream colored or light brown to dark brown. Collect the seed or fruits when most of the seed is ripe. Do not wait for everything to mature because you may lose most of the seed to birds or animals.

Beans, peas, onions, carrots, corn, most flowers and herb seeds are prepared by a dry method. Allow the seed to mature and dry as long as possible on the plant. Complete the drying process by spreading on a screen in a single layer in a well-ventilated dry location. As the seed dries the chaff or pods can be removed or blown gently away. An alternative method for extremely small or lightweight seed is putting the dry seed heads into paper bags that will catch the seed as it falls out.

Seed contained in fleshy fruits should be cleaned using the wet method. Tomatoes,

melons, squash, cucumber and roses are prepared this way. Scoop the seed masses out of the fruit or lightly crush fruits. Put the seed mass and a small amount of warm water in a bucket or jar. Let the mix ferment for two to four days. Stir daily. The fermentation process kills viruses and separates the good seed from the bad seed and fruit pulp. After two to four days, the good viable seeds will sink to the bottom of the container while the pulp and bad seed float. Pour off the pulp, water, bad seed and mold. Spread the good seed on a screen or paper towel to dry.

Seeds must be stored dry. Place in glass jar or envelopes. Make sure you label all the containers or packages with the seed type or variety, and date. Put in the freezer for two days to kill pests. Then store in a cool dry location like a refrigerator. Seed that molds was not sufficiently dry before storage.

Seed viability decreases over time. Parsley, onion, and sweet corn must be used the next year. Most seed should be used within three years.

Seed saving is essential for maintaining unusual or heritage vegetables and flowers. It is a great way to propagate many native plants too. There are numerous seed saver exchanges, clubs, and listings in magazines like Organic Gardening. Although you shouldn’t base your entire garden on saved seed you may want to give seed saving a try.

O P E N P O L L I N A T E D S E E D SOpen-pollinated (heirloom) varieties are the traditional varieties which have been grown and selected for their desirable traits for millennia. They grow well without high inputs because they have been selected under organic conditions.

These varieties have better flavour, are hardier and have more flexibility than hybrid varieties. Breeders cannot manipulate complex characteristics such as flavour as easily as they can size and shape.

These seeds are dynamic, that is they mutate and adapt to the local ecosystem, as opposed to modern hybrids, which are static.

H Y B R I D S E E D S

Hybrid seeds are the first generation offsprings of two distant and distinct parental lines of the same species. Seeds taken from a hybrid may either be sterile or more commonly fail to breed true, not incorporating and expressing the desired traits of the parent.

The development of hybrid seed enabled the beginning of the commercial seed market. Farmers were persuaded to buy new hybrid seed each season, replacing the traditional practice of farm-saved seed, due to the “hybrid vigor” which can improve yields.

Hybrid seed is also known as “high response” seed. These seeds require fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides and lots of water to achieve their high yields.

Hybrids have been bred with an emphasis on yield at the expense of hardiness and resistance. Breeders will sacrifice disease resistance where pesticides are available.Reliance on these seeds enforces the use of chemical inputs. Hybrid seeds and their required fertilizers, pesticides and irrigation systems have trapped many of the world’s poorest farmers into a cycle of debt. In India hundreds of farmers have committed suicide due to debt.

The substitution of chemical fertilizers for organic methods of returning nutrients to the soil, such as composting, crop rotation and manure creates lifeless dusty soils prone to soil erosion. An estimated 24 billion tons of soil are eroded from the

world’s agricultural land each year. Dust levels in the lower atmosphere have tripled in the last 60 years.

Modern hybrid seeds require large amounts of water often necessitating the construction of irrigation systems and dams. The experience in poor countries is that dams serve the rich minority and disrupt the natural watersheds essential to poorer farmers. To build these dams millions of people have been forcibly moved from their homes and fertile soils in river valleys have been flooded.

Why use shipping containers vs. other building materials?

A V A I L A B L E:

There are millions of empty shipping containers cluttering the world’s seaports. In New York there are about a million empty containers that overflow the seaport and jam storage yards.

CHEAP:

A standard 20’ used container, (without modifications, transport and handling) will run you right around $1,600-2,000 and about $2,900-5,000 for a used 40’ container. The average container life is 2-3 years, then they are liquidated to make room for newer leased models.

The husband had just finished reading a new book, “You Can Be THE Man of Your House.” He stormed into the kitchen and walked directly up to his wife and announced, “From now on, you need to know that I am the man of this house, and my word is Law!” “You will prepare me a gourmet meal tonight, and when I’m finished eating my meal, you will serve me a sumptuous dessert. After that, you are going to go upstairs with me, and we will have the kind of sex that I want. Afterwards, you are going to draw me my bath so I can relax. You will wash my back and towel me dry and bring me my robe. Then you will massage my feet and hands. Then after that’s done, guess who’s going to dress me and comb my hair?” The wife replied, “The damn funeral director would be my guess.”

Almost ALL of the social problems in this country are derived from the fact that

Americans don’t even know what kind of government they have! If you are like most people, you think that the United States is a democracy. If you do, then you are wrong!

Recite the pledge of allegiance. Notice that it says, “and to the republic for which it stands.” Now open your copy of the constitution to Article IV, Section 4. It says, “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government...”

So what? We live in a republic. What difference does it make?

In a democracy the “majority rules” - and the minority loses. A hypothetical example can demonstrate the idea. Pretend that you’re a land owner, and that I would like to buy some of your property, but you don’t want to sell this property. In a democracy, I could gather a dozen other land owners, proposing that we divide your land between us. We will allow you to vote on the proposition, because this IS a democracy after all -- and you will lose thirteen

to one. That’s a democracy!

In a republic, nothing can outvote your individual rights! They are unalienable. If the land belongs to you it doesn’t matter if I have a hundred friends, a thousand friends, or a hundred thousand friends! YOUR PROPERTY IS YOUR PROPERTY! It is the government’s fiduciary responsibility to protect your rights. If you are in doubt, read your copy of the Declaration of Independence. Right after, “...life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” it says, That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

Hypothetical examples are fine for illustrating a concept, but real life examples are much better for driving the point home: During the recent Million Mom March in Washington D.C. an angry speaker asked the crowd why government should pass additional gun control laws. The crowd responded “Because we SAID SO, that’s why!” This is democracy in action. The idea that enough people can vote to take away your rights. What if you belonged to a very small church like the Branch Dividians? Could enough people vote to deprive you of your religion? Or do your individual rights outweigh the will of the majority?

Everybody hates taxes and the IRS. How did the IRS get started, anyway? In the early 1900’s someone proposed a tax on the richest people in the United States. “Only the top two percent of the people” would be affected we were told. Since ninety-eight percent of the people weren’t affected, they voted to screw their fellow citizens. This is democracy in action. It’s obvious that the “taxpayer” category has been greatly expanded, now everybody is affected.

Every day more and more people go on welfare. The government gives them money which it has taken from you in taxes. Since a majority of people in this country already get some kind of aid from the government, do they have the right to vote for more of your paycheck? If so, how much can they take? Fifty percent? Seventy five percent? One hundred percent? This is democracy in action. At this point, wouldn’t it be easier for people who were still working to just go on welfare? If everybody is on welfare, there wouldn’t be anyone left to tax, and the system would collapse. This is exactly what happened in the Soviet Union.

These are just a few examples of the evils of democracy. Our founding fathers abhorred democracy, calling it a “tyranny of the majority”. Abraham Lincoln said, We the people are the rightful masters of Congress and the courts. Not to overthrow the Constitution, but to overthrow men who pervert the Constitution.

Constitution for the United States of America, Article IV Section. 4, The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government. The United States was founded upon the principles of a Constitutional Republic. As the Constitution states we are guaranteed a Republican form of government. The nation is NOT a democracy or a democratic republic and we should demand that our leaders stop referring to the United States as such.

Republic - A commonwealth; that form of government in which the administration of affairs is open to all the citizens. In another

Page 42: GIRL STIR APRIL 2012

42 GIRL STIR I APRIL

sense, it signifies the state, independently of its government.” - Black’s Law Dictionary 3rd Ed. p1536.

Republic - Authority is derived through the election, by the people, of public officials best fitted to represent them. Attitude toward property is respect for laws and individual rights, and a sensible economic procedure. Attitude toward law is the administration of justice in accord with fixed principles and established evidence, with a strict regard to consequences. A greater number of citizens and extent of territory may be brought within its compass. Avoids the dangers of either tyranny or mobocracy. Results in statesmanship, liberty, reason, justice, contentment and progress. - U. S. Army training manual, 1928.

Democracy - A government of the masses. Authority derived through mass meetings or any form of direct expression, which results in mobocracy. Attitude towards property is communistic, negating property rights. Attitude towards the law is that the majority shall regulate, whether it be based upon deliberation or governed by passion, prejudice, and impulse, without restraint or regard to consequences. Results in demagogism, license, agitation, discontent, and anarchy. - U. S. Army training manual, 1928.

What does that mean? Most people have been taught that the state is the government, but here Blacks Law Dictionary says the state is independent from the government.

In another place we find the word republic defined:

A state or nation in which the supreme power rests in all the citizens... A state or nation with a president as its titular head; distinguished from monarchy.

In this definition we see again that the supreme power is in the hands of the citizen who is entitled to vote. The representatives are in charge of administrating the affairs of government. In the second definition it states that the singular executive is titular. Titular is defined as, “existing in title or name only”.

Before we go farther it should be understood that in a republic, a Freeman was free from civil authority. The word republic was used in the Constitution because the Founders and separatists of the time knew its origins. It is a shortened form of the Latin idiom “Libera res Publica” meaning “free from things public.” The heads of the government were “titular” in authority, meaning they held authority “in name only.” In an indirect democracy the mob (majority) elects those that govern the whole, while in a republic elected representatives wield limited authority and they may not make laws except by the will of the people.

Samuel Adams stated, on August 1, 1776 within one month of the signing of the Declaration of Independence: Our Union is complete; our constitution composed, established, and approved. You are now the guardians of your own liberties. We may justly address you, as the decemviri did the Romans, and say: `Nothing that we propose can pass into law without your consent. Be yourself, O Americans, the authors of those laws on which your happiness depends.

t h e p e o p l e a r e s o v e r e i g n

The sovereignty of a state does not reside in the persons who fill the different departments of its government, but in the People, from whom the government emanated; and only the People may change it at their discretion. Sovereignty, then, in this country, resides with the constituency, and not with the agent; and this remark is true, both in reference to the federal and state government.

Page 43: GIRL STIR APRIL 2012

43QUESTION I CHALLENGE I RETHINK

“The United States government is a foreign corporation with respect to a state.” 153 In re Merriam, 36 N.E. 505, 141 N.Y. 479, affirmed 16 S. Ct. 1073, 163 U.S. 625, 41 L.Ed 287; 20 CJS, Section 1785.

People of a state are entitled to all the rights which formerly belonged to the king by his prerogative. - Lansing v. Smith, 21 D. 89

Today the government is referenced as the United States Federal Democracy even though at the beginnings of government the word Republic was the title most sought and most used. Is there a difference? Of course there is.

Everyone has seen the results of democracy:• The decline of morality• The decline of individual liberty• The demagoguery of political candidates• The license and disregard for the law that is evidenced daily by government officials• The discontent of the people for the political process• The abuses of federal agencies and bureaucracies against citizens

Simply stated the differences between a republican and democratic form of government are:

In a Republic, the will of the individual outweighs the will of the few, or of the majority. The government cannot force you to give them anything that the Constitution does not give them the power to take. A Republic finances itself through legitimate taxes and fees that were specifically spelled out in its Constitution.

In a Democracy, the will of the majority outweighs the will of the few, or of the individual. The government can take away anything that the “masses” decide is legitimate to remove. A Democracy finances itself

through illegitimate licenses, fees, fines, and other statutory penalties, as well as repressive progressive income taxes.

What exactly does this mean? It means that in a Democracy, whatever the masses decide is right or law, is right and the law for “everyone”. Regardless if you like it or not, even if it tramples your right to own property or exercise your individual liberty. In a Republic, no individual or any majority or any group of people, no matter how large can supercede the rights of any single individual citizen.

We must retake and reestablish our right to liberty, self-governance and Sovereignty before it is too late.

Dear President Obama: You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me. You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you. You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support. You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American. You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll. You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don’t understand it at its’ core. You scare me because you lack humility and ‘class’, always blaming others. You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail...

You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the ‘blame America’ crowd and deliver this message abroad. You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector. You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one. You scare me because you prefer ‘wind mills’ to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves. You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world. You scare me because you have begun to use ‘extortion’ tactics against certain banks and corporations.

You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals. You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people. You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient. You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do. You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O’Reillys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view. You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing. Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

The raft of legislation rammed through both houses of Congress since

December 31st - with wide majority votes - nullifies every clause in the Bill of Rights. Every senator and congressperson who voted in favor of those bills violated his or her oath of office, the promise to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Congress just replaced the Rule of Law with rule by tyranny. They must all be fired.

Joint Chiefs of Staff compile “hit lists” of Americans. Obama’s Director of National Intelligence, Adm. Dennis Blair, acknowledged in Congressional testimony that the administration reserves the “right” to carry out such assassinations.

Knowingly entering a restricted area that is under the jurisdiction of Secret Service protection can garner an arrest. The law is a slight change to earlier legislation that made it an offense to knowingly and willfully commit such a crime. Under the Trespass Bill’s latest language change, however, a person could end up in law enforcement custody, with a felony charge, for entering an area that they do not realize is Secret Service protected and “engages in disorderly or disruptive conduct” or “impede[s] or disrupt[s] the orderly conduct of Government business or official functions.”

It’s peacetime, because as the title of the order says, it’s for “Preparedness”.

a p r i l 2 , 2 0 1 2 : Obama tries to intimidate Supreme Court Justices: Not content with embarrassing members of the Supreme Court during his State of the Union a few years back, Barack Obama tried to intimidate the Justices to rule in favor of ObamaCare because the Congress passed it. To hell with deciding whether it violates the Constitution or not.

a p r i l 5 , 2 0 1 2 : The Department of Homeland Security is purchasing bullet-proof checkpoint booths that include ‘stop and go’ lights. The purpose behind the bullet proof booths is unknown, but the DHS has publicly announced that it plans to increase the number of unannounced checkpoints manned by TSA VIPR teams and other federal agents beyond the 9300 that were set up last year alone.
