Gillett Centre location and car parking The Gillett (Gymnastics) Centre is on the A38 (Bristol Road) in Selly Oak, Birmingham B29 6LG. This is about half a mile from the Sainsbury’s junction, and a 15-minute walk from Selly Oak train station, with the number 98 bus stop a few metres away from the front door of the centre. On the map below, the Gillett Centre is marked SY3. Car parking is behind SY2 (George Cadbury Hall). There is additional car parking behind SY1 (Elmfield House) and SG6 (Alan Geale House). Car parking is free of charge after 4.30 p.m. and at weekends. There is a short walk to the front of the Gillett Centre from the car park (2 minutes) The BBC car park marked at the bottom of the map is not accessible, and all other spaces (SOVAC, Oaks Day Nursery, OLRC Etc.) are Purple Permit only zones. Please do not use Fircroft College for parking under any circumstances, they are not part of UoB but neighbours with whom the University wish to maintain a good relationship.
