2. AGENCY COMMISSION AND TERMS OF PAYMENT

A. AGENCY COMMISSION: All national rates on this rate card are commissionable at 15% for recognized advertising agencies.

B. TERMS OF PAYMENT: All advertising orders are paid in advance except for companies and individuals having established credit with Greeneville Publishing Co. All charged advertising is due and payable ten (10) days from date of invoice. A Service Charge of 1.5% per month will be applied to all unpaid balances after 30 days from original date of invoice. Advertisers and Agencies are held jointly and severally liable until payment is received in full, up to and including all applicable finance charges, including service charges, collection costs, court costs and attorney’s fees incurred in the course of recovery. There is a $20 returned check charge per item.

3. GENERAL RATE POLICYA. All material in this newspaper is copyrighted by

Greeneville Publishing Co., and may only be reused with the express written permission of the newspaper’s management, with the exception of the Associated Press. Ad layouts created by Greeneville Publishing Co. are the property of the Publisher; the Publisher may license artwork for limited use. Use of materials outside of this newspaper is subject to fees relative to the costs incurred by the Publisher.

B. The Publisher reserves the right to edit or reject any advertising deemed objectionable, whether in subject matter, illustration, or phraseology.

C. Advertisers may apply for credit by completing a credit application form subject to approval by the general manager. Allow seven business days to process the application. Cash is accepted until credit is established.

D. An Advertiser may cancel a discount rate agreement prior to the end of the agreed upon discounted period when the Advertiser pays for the space published at the earned or Open Rate, plus any costs incurred, including collections. All prior payments will be credited toward the aforementioned space.

E. Cancellation request are accepted until 4:00 p.m., two business days prior to publication date. Production time and costs on advertising set and canceled prior to publication will be charged to Advertiser based on labor and materials used.

F. Advertising depth is available in one-inch increments, from 1 column-inch to 18 column-inches. The next available depth is 21 inches.

G. We are unable to guarantee specific placement in the newspaper, however we will try to comply with position requests.

H. We reserve the right to insert the words “Advertisement” at the top and/or bottom of any advertisement simulating news matter.

I. A full-height “double-truck” ad (two-page, center-spread) will be charged at 12 (twelve) columns. The “gutter” is charged as a column for spreads less than 18” in height. The minimum size for a center-spread is nine-columns wide by nine-inches in depth.

J. Liquor, beer, wine advertising is accepted. Tobacco advertising is not accepted.

B. Greeneville Publishing Company will exercise every care and diligence to prevent omissions and errors in any advertisement.
