This is a

    matter of the highest priority as has been mandated by the Government. As part of its efforts to elicitaccurate information to serve as an important input towards this end, we have designed aquestionnaire which is enclosed herewith. You are requested to kindly ensure that this is completed byyour office and sent back to us latest by the 4th of March at gendersensitizationuqc(aqmail.com .Alternatively, the filled in questionnaire may be posted on our site www.uqc.ac.in .

    The Task Force would like to visit campuses to interact with you and also students, faculty and staff tolearn how best to facilitate and support your efforts in this crucial area that requires urgent andsignificant engagement to assess best practices and also take on board suggestions for theimprovement of existing mechanisms of redressal.I have the faith that you are one with the efforts of the UGC in this direction and will be grateful if youcan extend all support to the members of the Task Force in terms of access to the members of yourcommunity. The Task Force is NOT a grievance redressal mechanism. At this stage its focus is to elicitviews and suggestion that will help eradicate the menace of gender based violence on ourcampuses, root out cultures of impunity and nurture practices that mainstream gender sensitization asan essential and integral part of the teaching-learning practices.     Dear Vice Chancellor/Principal,

    The purpose of this questionnaire is to help the University Grants Commission inits mandate to further the cause of equity in higher education. The UGC isundertaking a review of currently existing arrangements on the campuses of allinstitutions of higher learning, to ensure the freedom, safety and security ofwomen in particular and of the entire population of young people in general.Accordingly, this questionnaire has been prepared to identify any inadequacies inexisting procedures and practices in order to formulate remedial measures toaddress the concerns of all women, and of the youth who study and live in anyUGC recognized and supported institution of higher education.The UGC is grateful for your attention and time in answering the questions belowso that your valuable inputs can be an integral part of this review process.
