CLASS VII
Dear Children,
We are sure that you must be enjoying your summer vacation with members of the family and
friends. Some of you must be planning to travel or to visit your relatives and grandparents. It will
be great if you spend some time with them and gift them something that is handmade and
designed by you. This will surely make them feel special .If possible, join some activity classes
or learn something new during your holidays. Spend some time reading storybooks, newspapers,
watching interesting and informative programmes. Help your parents by cleaning up your room ,
arranging things kept in the cupboard and donating things that you do not need to a NGO.
We are attaching a few interesting activities and assignments which you are expected to do
during morning and noon time .Write neatly and present your work well. Please complete the
work and bring it to school on Friday, July 1, 2016. Have lots of fun and take good care of
yourself. Write a short story, paragraph, poem or a little report about some amusing experience
or a memorable moment along with pictures and mail it on the email id given below. These shall
be included in the section magazines during the year.
Instructions for compilation of Holiday Homework
1. All homework is to be done on A4 size sheets and compiled in a hard bound file / folder.
Design an attractive cover for your file / folder.
2. You may use different colour A4 size sheets for different subjects. Have a labelled cover page
for each subject. All sheets of a subject should be put together / tied/ stapled together and handed
over to the respective subject teachers on the first day of rejoining after summer break.
3. Attach all the worksheets along with the homework sheets.
4. The written part should be neatly presented in your own handwriting or printed( if the
instructions have been given regarding the same). Take the help of your parents only when
necessary.
5. Remember a well presented Holiday Home Work fetches you marks and appreciation of
your teachers and classmates .

The following format will be followed for all projects:
The project should be hand written on A 4 size sheets.
The page wise format of the project presentation is as follows:
Page 1 Give the project a suitable name.
Page 2 Explain what the project is about.
Page 3 -- Define the AIM and OBJECTIVE of your project.
Page 4 -- Give a brief write-up (about 75 words) on all the resources you used
books referred to, people you consulted etc.
Page 5 Outline the procedure and process you planned in order to carry out the
project.
The project must contain :
a) Your observations, tabulations, bar graphs (authenticate them with photographs or
illustrations)
b) Analysis of the observations made.
c) Conclusion that you draw from the project.

Take a Hard board of A3 size and paste a cartridge or ivory sheet on it. Draw a
bold design on it. Take old CDs and cut it in square now paint the squares in
different colors. Arrange and paste the squares with fevicol according to your
design and color scheme. Use your imagination and creativity to add to the
design.
Sports activities help you stay fit and healthy. It is essential to exercise regularly
and eat healthy food items and avoid junk food as far as possible. It will be
wonderful if you are able to go and play in a playground daily or join a sports
activity group.
Whenever possible during your vacation, try and go for morning walks and play
group games. During hot summer days enjoy playing indoor games like chess
and other board games. This way you will be comfortably inside your home and
at the same time having fun and good time with your family members.
Make a worksheet related to any one sport you enjoy playing. You may design a
crossword, word search activity, multiple choice questions worksheet or a
Sports puzzle. Design a border or take printout of borders. Make it interesting
and presentable. Submit it to your sports activity teacher after the vacation.
