December 13, 2011 DEAR FRIENDS: Pax Christi! The Miss Kagay-an 2011 and the Court presents its CHASTE Agenda realization project on this Christmas Season. This December, the MK2011 renders the “GASA” – a four-projects-in-a-day event for the benefit of 200 school-aged children in Barangay Mambuaya, Cagayan de Oro City. The projects are: 1. GIFT GIVING PROGRAM 2. LITERACY AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS ENHANCEMENT 3. TOURISM TALK 4. HEALTH AND WELLNESS AUGMENTATION AND DONATIONS PROGRAM This event is expected to be held on December 19, 2011, from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM. This end-of-the-year event, which is a part of the CHASTE Agenda of the Miss Kagay-an 2011, aims to hit two birds with one stone. It augments not only the the spirit of giving joy and facilitating the holistic persona of these young Kagay- anon generations, but also the spirit of helping promote tourism in Cagayan de Oro as the Adventure Capital of the Philippines considering that the chosen baranggay is a neighboring area to one of CDO’s Pride – the White Water Rafting adventure as well as other notable escapades, such as the Jatico and Macahambus adventure parks. Hence, from our knowledge that the city is known for its people’s cultural diversity, people empowerment within it is tantamount to promoting its tourism. In view thereof, we humbly request for your support in helping us gather sufficient resources to fully realize the event (see attachments on the concept paper). As the Christmas season is fast approaching, the project presents us a very good opportunity to give back to God His generosity through sharing our blessings to those who are marginalized and in need. We would be very blessed to have you as our partner in the fulfillment of this endeavor for Cagayan de Oro. Together, let us experience the joy of touching lives and giving service.
