    eformation analysis

    his module offers extensive

nctions for the output and ana-

    sis of deform ation measure-

    ents and geotechnical data. The

utput can be show n as a graph

in a tab le. The user can design

    e layout individually as regards

e posit ion and form of the ele-

    ents (texts, graphics and dia-ams).

    Triangulation

An eff ic ient and int uit ively us-

able tr iangulation module is avai-

lable for the adjustment of plane,

height and 3D netw orks. The user

can choose betw een free, dyna-

mic and f ixed adjustm ent. The

    results are displayed graphically

    as network configurations with

the corresponding ellipses of er-ror (network diagram) and are

    logged int o clearly structured

    lists.

    Traverses

    The calculation of t raverses

    can be generated for traverses

tied at bot h ends, traverses t ied

at one end, traverses w ithout

    orientation, and closed t raverses.

The course of t he traverse can be

    entered manually or graphically,

or can be generated automat ically

by the existing survey data. Theuser decides between different

    error distribution s during the

    calculation.

    Transformation

Tw o opt ions are available to

    the user for the transformation

    of coordinates between diff erent

    frameworks:

    the global 7-param eter trans-

    formation of geodetic datums

    via defined reference ellipsoids

    the local 3- to 6-parameter

    t ransformat ions (w i th or w i th-

    out residual error distribution)

    using control point s

    Leveling

Leveling lines can be anal yzed

and processed w ith t he aid of

this m odule. Survey and precise

    leveling operations are analyzed

    taking into account the tempera-

ture adjustments and t he calibra-

t ion dat a of the leveling rods.

    unnel

n extension to the al ignment

    odule has been designed to

    eet the specific requirements of

    nnel construction. It provides a

    ariety of calculation, manage-

ent and output opt ions (e.g . me-

    surement and evaluation of as-

uil t surveys, establishment andanagement of the joint index,

    nd calculations for tunnel exca-

    ation stakeouts).

    Interfaces

    Alongside the standard

    ESRI format s (Geodatabase, Sha-

pe and Coverage), the user can

    choose among numerous interfa-

ces such a s NAS, EDBS, DXF,

    DWG, DGN, KAFKA, GRIPS, KOF,

    GT, BETAN /NEPTAN, VERM .ESN,

    and CARD/1. Bitmaps can be

adapt ively inserted depending onthe system. The map b ackground

serves as a simple orientation in

the f ield and a digitalizat ion of

points and l ines from the gra-

    phic is also p ossible.

    Languages

In addit ion to t he standard

    German version, the user interface

    is also available in English.

Addit ion al language versions canbe provided on demand at short

not ice. Localizat ions and project ion

    adapt ions are available including

    all european and US projections

    and interfaces to geoid models.

    Sensor control GNSS

The GNSS module serves to control

all current ly prevalent GNSS recei-

vers in th e DGNSS, RTK, static and

    stop&go modus. GART-2000 future

performs the opt imal init ial izat ion

of the GNSS receiver for classic base-

rover operat ion o r for commu nica-

t ion w ith a reference network servi-

ce. In this connect ion, both GSMmodems and correct ion data via the

    Internet (NTRIP) are suppo rted.

    GART-2000 future transforms the

measured values into the user coor-

dinate system in th e f ield in real

t ime. With the new Trans-I t module,

this is even possible everyw here in

    an optimized and centimeter-precise

    manner without the t ime-consuming

    need for control po ints.

sM anagement of projects and users

The opt ion al project management

tool links several projects and thus

    enables the centralized administra-

t ion of ident ical data and conf igura-

    t ions. The tool also

    implements the ma-

    nagement of mult i -

    ple user access.

    Sensor control total station

With the sensor control for to tal

stat ions, data can be recorded in

the f ield w ith all standard instru-

    ment models.The measuring func-

t ions support the measurement of

direct and eccentric point s, sets of

angles, and stakeouts, as w ell as

    the direct control of measurement

    information d uring the recording.

The resulting coo rdinat es can be

ut i l ized immediately for all fol lo-

    w ing calculat ions.

    Cadastral versions

    There are special cadastral

versions for applicat ion in the

    domain of cadastral surveying.

These versions t ake int o con si-

    deration the specific country

    requirements regarding the m a-

    nagement of point numbers,

    calculat ion, and logging.

    The functionality of GART-2000

future is also available as an ex-tension fo r ArcGISTM fro m ESRI.

Under the product name of gl-sur-vey, i t is part of the geo lut ionTM

product l ine for the integration ofsurveying, CAD and GIS.

Future requirement s wil l cal l forsystems that faci l i tate th e seam-less processing of geodata fromtheir recording in the field throughtheir processing and m aintenanceto their distribution and presenta-tion. Distinct synergetic effectsoccur here in respect of operatorconvenience, user admin istration ,data securi ty, metadata m anage-

ment, and securi ty of invest-ment .

With regard to future demands, geo lut ionTM provides numeroustools for design and p lan editingin addit ion t o i ts basic surveyingfunct ions. Addi t ional modulesbu il d upon these fea tu res fo r f i el d

    collection (e.g. sensor control) and

special applications from the do -main o f cadastral and engin eeringsurveying.

The system is suitable for deploy-ment in equal measure both in thefield and in t he office.

The integrat ion o f surveying,CAD and GIS using the ESRI basetechnology ensures a continu ousdata f low from the m easuringinstrument to t he GIS and backagain. The loss of inform ation andquali ty through elaborate conver-sions, data redundancies and

inefficiency are al l things of t hepast.
