What is Garam Masala?

Garam masala is a blend of spices commonly used in Indian and other South Asian cuisines. There is no single recipe for garam masala. Different regions use different blends and in Indian households, garam masala is considered a very personal recipe. Common spices are used to make garam masala include mustard seeds, cloves, cardamom, cumin, coriander, black pepper, white pepper, bay leaves, nutmeg, fenugreek and cinnamon.

Cumin, scientifically known as Cuminum Cyminum. Its ability to aid in digestion, improve immunity & treat piles, insomnia, respiratory disorders, asthma, bronchitis, common cold, lactation, anemia, skin disorders, boils and cancer.

Coriander

Coriander commonly known as Dhania. Health benefits of coriander include its use in the treatment of skin inflammation , high cholesterol levels, diarrhea, mouth ulcers, anemia, menstrual disorders, smallpox, conjunctivitis, skin disorders, etc.
