“Intensive” German language option, select the level that you feel is most

appropriate for you. (You will have a placement test and an on-site interview to

determine the correct level you should be enrolled prior to the start of your course)

YOUR APPLICATION IS NOT COMPLETE! After you have filled out your application, and printed and signed all necessary pages, you must scan and email it to Hannah Vander Sal at the UCEAP Systemwide Office at hvandersal@eap.ucop.edu. Along with your scanned application, you must also email the following items:

1. A scanned copy of your UC Transcript (this can be an unofficial transcript as long as your full legal name and campus are listed on it).

2. A clear, color copy of your valid passport, featuring both the signature page and the identification page. (if you do not yet have your passport, please include a color scan of your California State ID and follow up with your passport scan as soon as you have it.)

3. Self-introductory statement (only if you selected the Homestay option!)

You must MAIL the following items to the UCEAP Systemwide Office:

1. UCEAP requires that you mail three (3) passport photos instead of the one (1) listed in the FU-BEST instructions. See the Three (3) Passport-Size Photographs Instructions in your UCEAP Pre-Departure Checklist.
