By memorandum to the Attorney General dated June 26, 1975, the

Attorney General was advised of the circumstances under which documents

were received from former Associate Deputy Attorney General Wilderotter

by Section Chief James A. Farrington. A copy of thc, inemorandlim was

addressed to Mr. Wilderotter and the memorandum indicated that we

would make available to Wilderotter for his review, but not for retendon,

a copy of the inventory of the documents.

At 2:30 p.m. on July 1, 1975, I met with Mr. Wilderotter in his

office at. the White House and furnished him his copy or lip:, n; - -.: a:-.:•_1:7.. '1

and a copy of the inventory. I asked Mr. Wilderotter to review it carefully

and if he desired to indicate appropriate disposition of the item5 listed. -
