Dear Church Family, I hope you enjoyed your time with family this Thanksgiving season. It is estimated that 54 million Americans traveled during this holiday. That is more than have traveled in a dozen years according to AAA. The deep longing to be with family; the comfort of a place called home; or the need to get away for awhile and change the routine all may motivate us to travel great distances in short periods of time. We give to the things we value. Today you have gathered to worship here because it matters to you. So give yourself completely to worship today. We are blessed to have Dr. Steve Jackson as our guest speaker this morning. Dr. Steve is our Associational Missions Director and he is providing great leadership for us and our 39 sister churches in Lincoln County. He and Peggy are most often attending other churches on Sundays doing for them what he will do for us this morning. Open your heart and hear the Word as it is preached! Next Sunday begins the Advent season. The month will be filled with special services. These begin, Sunday, December 2nd, at 5:00 p.m., with our Children's Choirs presenting their end of the year programs.
