    LOVE ANTHOLOGY

    Our anthology, as the title states is about love. Weve

    chosen this particular poem because it depicts thedichotomy of love. Although the man loves a womanto bits, she remains inalterable to his passion. Spenseruses plenty of metaphors for example comparing lovewith ice and fire. He suffers unrequited love, hisburning desire clashes with her senseless cold. He askshimself a series of questions but he doesnt find ananswer for her behavior . The images weve chosensymbolize what is stated in the last two lines: thepower of love (lack of it) can change even theimmutable.
